They are a hard rock power trio! They are now 21 (Daniela, Guitar), 19 (Paulina, Drums), 16 (Alejandra, Bass). Tis video was recorded last August, so they were each a year younger. They hit all sub genres and mix them together. Classic, Punk, Grunge, Ballads, they can do it all! They have an EP and 2 full albums, all in English and one single in Spanish, and literally not one bad song in the bunch. Their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene" is a concept album that tells a story like a very dark graphic novel! It's a Masterpiece! They signed with Lava/Republic Records last July, and are about to release their third album (First with Lava), and it should be amazing! Keep on your journey of discovery with these incredible sisters. You've been Warned!

The Warning sound is definitely a modern take on classic hard rock with punk, pop, and grunge elements mixed in. Every song you listen to just seems to get better and better. They are best in live performances and many pro-shot concert videos are available on their website. They also have a large and loyal following known as The Warning Army (TWA). They will be here soon. More!

Various record labels had offered them deals, but wanted them to change various things about their music, stage dress, and so on that they did not want to do. One executive asked them whether they'd prefer to play for 12 or 12,000 people, and (apparently) Pau said that they'd rather play the music they want the way they want dressed how they want for 12 rather than do something they didn't want to do for 12,000. Either at that metal festival (Hell and Heaven) or the Mother of All Rock festival they played to something like 20-30K people. Just sayin'. They spent something like 7 months negotiating the deal with Lava, because they were determined to maintain artistic control and keep their Patreon community (which apparently a lot of labels don't like, because it provides an independent income stream that the label has no control over). The whole thing sounded like they identified Lava, which has a reputation for being artist-friendly, and were willing to take however much time was needed to reel them in -- on _their_ terms. They are formidable, and not just musically. If for whatever reason they aren't in music at some time in the future, I expect that they would be every bit as successful at whatever endeavor they chose.

Dull Knives, especially from this venue, is 1 of my favs. When I talk to people about TW, I introduce them to this 1 and Survive. Dull Knives is indeed that 80s feel hard rock that u want more of. Ale on bass stole the show with her custom 5 string and metal goddess look. But Dani's guitar was on point, and she brought a ton of old school hard rock attitude expressions. Pau is her usual self, which means she's gonna shred and melt you down with her death stare. Yeah she does that. Best 3 odd mins in rock that I've seen in many moons. Welcome to the best band you've seen in decades!

For the Enter Sandman video, they were 14, 12, and 9 (!). This video, they were 20, 18, and 15 and all just had birthdays recently. They just finished recording their 3rd album and Spector will release a Signature Series bass in the name of the 16-year old bassist. This *is* what they play, with a few rock ballads and one cheerleader punk song thrown in. They were raised on classical piano and classic rock music videos and this is their distillation of that classic rock plus punk and grunge and even k-pop (they say, although I can't see it).

This is from QoTMS as "The Queen" is descending into madness. Daniela (Dany) sings the evil part and Paulina (Pau) sings the good part in some of the other songs, Sinister Smiles in particular. You can see the crazed look in Dany's face as she plays the part of the mad queen, but that's simply acting to add to the performance; in person she (and the rest) are by all accounts very nice people, very well grounded. I would say definitely listen to both of the full albums (QoTMS and XXI Century Blood). You might find their EP (Escape the Mind) a bit less to your taste; it was an experiment they did to both learn about the recording process and to settle on what kind of music they wanted to perform (keep in mind that they ranged from 10-15 or thereabouts when they recorded the EP). But for 5 songs, that EP is very diverse, although they rarely play it any more. The performance (you surely noticed that it's the same room as where they did Enter Sandman) was for a virtual concert in the fall, where Jason Flom of Lava Records introduced them to the industry. They more or less stopped doing covers around then and have concentrated entirely on their own music. They did learn Atlas Rise (in 4 days!) because they were planning to jam with Metallica although that fell through, and they then later performed it at a private concert because one of their big supporters is also a huge Metallica fan. Both of those are on line and are very energetic -- their "studio" version has cleaner audio, but the concert has enormous energy. They stayed true to it, but definitely with their own stamp on it -- they only have one guitarist, of course, but they also switched the lead vocals around a lot between Pau and Dany, which is something they do frequently. It's definitely worth looking for live performances of most of their songs, although the audio quality varies. That's partly because they really enjoy performing, and also I think because they're still on a steep upward curve with their skills and are rapidly learning more and improving. I definitely prefer this version of Dull Knives to the QoMTS version, although the audio of that one is better (it's noticeable with good equipment). It's more energetic, and they've tweaked some of the sounds.

None of their songs, either covers or originals, dissapoint a bit. You can start by reacting to their second album "Queen of the murder scene" which is a dark theme story told in sequence. The Warning are three sisters that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to KZbin for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and rehearsed for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show!.The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10 000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston. They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album XXI Century Blood in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded Queen of the Murder Scene and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019 they released a single, Narcisista. A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. This was recorded live in June 2019 st Foro Didi in Monterrey Mx (their hometown) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWiscnieg5mFg68 The Warning is totally fan funded through Patreon, KZbin and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever! So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise fund for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lock down was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City. This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on KZbin and Facebook achieving well over 50000 simultaneous viewers on March 25 2020. They have since performed from The Warning a couple more times including for the city of Brownsville Tx for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star. On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album. After 3 months of recording and a month and a half of mastering, mixing and editing the third album was completed at the beginning of February 2021. All that remains as of 22 02 21 is the album design and artwork amd logistics of the release which will hopefully happen by April 2021. So now you've been WARNED! I hope you will check out more of their music and see how they have grown. Here is a recommended viewing list to see their evolution: Enter Sandman - Metallica (cover song) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5PShox4brF5gLs 2014 Exterminated (original song from XXI Century Blood) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJeUl5KtqNKhoa8 2015 The Pretender - Foo Fighters (cover song) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5unnHSklrmJjLs 2016 Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue (cover song) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJKwYqB4lseUacU 2017 rehearsal for Mother of all Rock Festival presentation Black Holes (original song from XXI Century Blood) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/on6bfJiHlNmBh8U 2018 Queen of the Murder Scene (original from Queen of the Murder Scene) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXmxYWCXp92mrpY late 2018 Narcisista (original song, single) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWiscnieg5mFg68 June 2019 Dull Knives from The Warning Cave for De(Tour) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4e4dK2ned6Cmqs Aug 2020

Survive is a good example of how they've evolved. The Whisky a GoGo version from 2020 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKLUaJerrMR7adE) is one you should listen to after the TEDx version, and they've really refined it over the years and greatly improved their stage presence. It has some pop and Broadway elements, but it's still a satisfyingly hard rocker. One thing they've never taken out (and I hope never will) is the sister dance between Dany and Ale during the coda.

This song is from their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene, which tells the story of a disturbed young woman's inner journey from desire to obsession to murder and madness. The songs are told from the point of view of either the young lady's inner psychopath or her good side, which has a conscience - until it does not. Good to see you revisiting these gals! As a fan for several years now, this is the only rock band out there that hasn't done a single song that I *don't* like. That's a record in my book, since I've been a die-hard rocker since the 1970's!😮 They really do capture that 70's, 80's, 90's hard rock sound because that is what they were brought up on.😉 They love all different genre's of music, but when it comes to their own works, they're dyed-in-the-wool hard rockers, all the way!! 🤘😎🤘 Since they recently signed with Lava/Republic records, they are about to release their 3rd full-length album, and it is going to be epic! (not that the first 2 weren't amazing enough).😁 Obviously, you've just scratched the surface of what they are now capable of.. at 21, 18, and 16 years, these young ladies are about to rock the music world once again.😍 It wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit to see the end of all the sexualized rap crap, and the beginning of a new era of musicians actually displaying their talents of playing real instruments, and singing without the aid of a ton of voice effects!😉 Great reaction man! New subscriber here... I'll throw a link in here to one of my favorites, and probably one of the best rock ballads of all time.
