I recently picked up both of the Corny Gron books from EF and was happy to see you covering them! In my opinion the Adventure's Guide is both a campaign setting and an interactive tome of southern Polish folklore and mythology. Although many of the original names have been altered to make the setting more fantastical, everything in the book has roots in both the folklore and history of the Carpathian mountains, and the political factions described in the book seem to correspond to regional empires and entities circa 18th century. Pretty cool and immersive if you are into historical-themed fantasy.

Rage in Hell creator here! Thank you so much for reviewing the game! I was surprised at the sudden uptick in PDF sales and specifically for Rage in Hell of all things. Took me a bit of detective work to realize it was because of this video. Thank you sir. I am beyond flattered you preferred it over Chainsaw Warrior! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° And yes, you're right, it has been PDF only for many years now. My intention was always to update the game to a second edition before I do a reprint.

A listing of channels below that fit that specialty. I was trying to find all the other solo gaming channels that are small and needed more viewers that you might be interested in. These were all ive had come up in algorithm suggestions that i e looked at that highlight many different small game makers and not so well known games. Some of them i dont know as well,and maybe other commenters can correct or add to what im doing. The first ones i look at quite abit and the ones in the last third of the list are ones ive looked up in search and they look like they specialize in the same things,but havent looked at the channels too deeply yet. -Red Mage GM ( he showcases many obscure small games, usually overviews several in each vid) -Ithaquas Bane -Lone Adventurer -Chaoclypse -Adventures In Solitaire -Wilona's Cave -Lord Libidan -Veselko Kelava -Mei Li -Books,Bricks and Boards -Sole Patrol -The Dice Treasures -Solo Promoter -2000 Tales RolePlaying -JP Coovert -rpg crawler -RPG Overviews -Strange Adventures -Swords and Soiltude - Dice Pencil and Paper -Stoneaxe Tabletop Gaming -Caverna do Lekkis -Dieku Games -Seeker's Hollow

dude, as a fellow music-obsessed solo gamer, I am convinced we'd be friends if you lived in my town. i dug your music comparisons on these games, and you namechecked some amazing bands, not to mention Troma movies. also loved the top 10 list from the other day, and I just spent over $300 ordering some of the recommendations i haven't tried yet. my personal favourite adventure game to play solo is actually Apocrypha Adventure Card Game. i saw that you've made some content about Apocrypha, but i'm almost afraid to watch, cause that game takes a lot of hate, and it pains me to see it being torn down. i truly think it's a flawed masterpiece. anyway, new subscriber and fan here, hope to see you branch out into more music-related content maybe! cheers from Canada

Loved the music references, surprised to hear Front 242, Front Line Assembly, and Bolt Thrower. Personally, while these games have very interesting settings and frameworks, the gameplay is a little disappointing. So many gamebooks and solo RPGs boil down to dice-chucking and hoping to roll well; no resource management during combat, no powers, no control. They're neat games but I have a hard time really getting into a lot of them. At least with solo RPGs, you might have enough narrative control that it's not just a combat grinder, and you get a bit more out of the experience. But every once in a while, a simple combat grinder can be fun too.
@TheDungeonDive4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I can see that. Games like Corny Gron and The Outcast you will get more out of the more you put in, but game like Rage in Hell are more narrow in scope, and are really just fun little diversions, and sometimes that's exactly what I want.
