Wow, just finished the video, and you and Zeb killed it! He is an absolute super star in the XC, you can tell he absolutely loves that part! I am so impressed that he’s 19 and still able to compete at this level. This is a testament to your wonderful horse management (and some luck. Sometimes crap happens to older horses…well, ALL horses! My 20 year old mare was in great shape and still able to compete, albeit at a lower level than in her younger days. Then last year she managed to tear a ligament in her left front leg. We THINK she did it in pasture, but aren’t sure. She never used to run when she was turned out, as she was always too busy grazing as if she was starving to death. So it’s a mystery how it happened, but sadly ended her career 😢 I’m so happy Zeb has avoided any such mishaps-knock on wood!) I know I’m quite late to this video, so you probably won’t see this comment. If you do, could you tell me what breed Zeb is?

I just started watching this video, and have only gotten through the Dressage portion. I know you’ve said in other videos that Dressage is not Zeb’s forte, but I did want to compliment him on that lovely extended trot. It’s beautiful! Awesome video as usual. You did a wonderful job in the show jumping n with every new video, I can see an improvement. When I first started watching your videos, I saw someone who was not riding very successful, as far as riding technique goes. You would wait n not bend over your horses whithers until you were into your jump, n then as soon as your horses front feet touched the ground on the other side of the jump, you would not follow through but straighten up as straight as you could n shift your weight to his hips, causing him to loose momentum. Now you are following through n keeping bent over the shoulders until you are completely finished with your jump. You are now keeping your weight forward on his whithers where it needs to be, instead of straightening up n placing your weight on his hips. Your weight needs to b on his shoulders to give him momentum n also when you are bent over it is more likely not to block the wind. Like jockeys do when they are racing, how they get down low to help the wind draft around them. I’m not saying to ride like a jockey but to not sit up as straight as you were doing in some of your first videos. Just ride like you did in this video. Great job, keep it up.
