This amazingly, simple and very effective. You really are onto the best way to instruct people to play better. After a miserable start to my season 43, 45, 47, 49 and then 50 (getting worse) after several hours of watching and absorbing your advice I went out today and shot 41 and that was with a miserable 8 on a particularly messy hole dealing with a tree root and then a solidly hit tree branch. In so happy with your advice especially the chipping videos and the full driver swing. During covid I played little for three years and lost a very solid 79-82 game for years before (putting was never an issue with me except on rare occasions). But this summer of 2023 trying to reclaim a fairly good game seemed impossible until I discovered your You Tube videos. Your advice including sand shots etc is absolutely great and completely common sense. Thank you Julian.

Hi Todd, what a fantastic message to receive from you. Sounds like you’ve work through my swing suggestions. How does your swing feel now compared to before? What are the main changes you’ve made? If only we could get more and more golfers switched on to my method, they would have so much more fun playing. I am helping a lot of members of www.Propergolfing.com experience similar types of success through the training library and one to one coaching. Look forward to hearing back from you. Kindest regards, Julian

Jilian, I always did try very conscientiously to swing smoothly focusing on good steady Tempo -" one and two" sort of thing with little focus on "distance" and the only time I went really amiss is any effort at all to put "extra" on my swing inevitably led to poor results. This a difficult urge to overcome! Your method of swinging easy and "dance to golf" just absolutely confirms a great natural way to play golf with absolute minimal swing thoughts, unlike all the other complex, body position (albiet well intentioned) methods that just lead to tightness, confusion and disappointment. This reminds me so much of how Jones, Thompson and Casper played, even Snead to a certain extent. It's beautiful, simple, understanable and very doable for most everyone would be my belief. Well done and great results to everyone. God bless, He gave us a wonderful passtime!

Another excellent, clear, easy to follow video with sound advice. I have a speed whoosh & like when I swing correctly the ball comes down at the correct time. It also highlights any badly timed swings. I only wish I could get the same distance as Julian. However I am 78 & still playing golf to a reasonable standard. Julian's advice has really helped me for several years. Thank you Julian.

Hi Julian, yesterday I had my 1st session since our zoom lesson. It was ok. What brought me to this video is the lack of distance with driver, around 150-160m carry, same as Wood5. Seems I am not relaxed and try to hit it differently. So I will apply what you show here. Although I like it straight regularly, I think carry around 180-200m for me should be a reasonable goal. Talk soon, Peter

Once again - Thanks Julian. I’ve been trying to increase my club head speed, but from the top of the swing. Now I get it, and it works! As always - your instruction is spot on and easy to follow. At 72 - with a crook back and dodgy knee, finding your lessons has made reasonable golf possible again. Sincere thanks from a wanna be golf ⛳️ plodder.

Glad it’s helping Victor, I enjoy making videos that help you all. The only issue with KZbin I find is that it takes you down rabbit holes and leads to conflict with too many techniques, that’s why I started Propergolfing so that it can be learnt in a logical way 👍😀
@victorgodwin5053 жыл бұрын
Fear not Julian. I bypass all the other rabbit holes - focus only on your instructions. No confusion that way.

Perfect! I press down on the ground with my left lead foot then I press down in the ground with my right trail foot. Now this is how la dance and ground action reaction force ( GARF) really takes place under Newton’s 3rd law of motion: For every action their is an equal and opposite reaction❤️👍😃⛳️👍🥂Cheers

I suppose you are able to play golf. Unfortunately, we have been in lock down since 12 Aug and still will be for 2 weeks more here In the Australian Capital Territory. DAMN Best i can do is play chip/pitch shots with plastic balls into a net. Any hints

It appears to me that your body stays closed or neutral until you have hit the ball and the momentum then opens up your body. Am I correct in my assumption so I can learn the swing. Presently, I seem to open my body on the downswing early because it feels natural to me and I consciously drop my arms as I am opening up the body. Should I not be doing this?
@JulianMellor3 жыл бұрын
If you open up your body you need to be careful not to hit the outside of the ball. It’s not a bad move as long as you coordinate your arms and body

That’s a great point you’ve made and one that I’ll be addressing very soon when I open my new venue in February. I never try and kid anyone but having the data to back it up will be a game changer for me 👍
