When he was in the last stages of illness and hospitalized he shared a foto on the internet (just five years before there was no internet). Had a big bump on his neck, with a drain. He wanted to show this, also to make people to fund cancer organisations and if I remember especially for kids and no flowers but donations. Brave and respected man. Grown up with his 1993 tracks, no fan of the later work but now I appreciate all and own all his vinylrecords 🙏 GREAT SHIRTS!!!

this goes out to every true hardcore lover out there: if you ever have the time, once in your lifetime, visit his gravestone, put down some flowers, and pay some respect for the godfather of gabber..... LOVE!!!!!
@Tesuli10 жыл бұрын
Does gabber music still exist today? I miss it so much!
@thephaseshifter10 жыл бұрын
yes it does, specialy in the country where its born, the Netherlands. But the sound changed alot, its not the classic 909 - 303 - Alpha Juno hoover - Chord samples, table distortioned sound annymore, if you konw what i mean ;). But most of the producers still produce, and dj .. Some switched to other genres, some stayed in the scene. Rip Peter-Paul Pigmans

I know Mescalinum United We have arrived. But its not the born of the culture and so on. Its more hard techno to me. It was still very slow, many guys before him did it like Franky Bones
@munic78469 жыл бұрын
+sefbrodz It does! And it evolved into one of the most complex and challenging genre to produce.
@disk0__9 жыл бұрын
+sexmachine-Stay on the scene Very true, I'd say We Have Arrived was the track that "became" hardcore and stuff like Energy Flash before it were the turning points in house that led to the entire hardcore branch-which over 20 years branched off or influenced pretty much every genre played at big festivals or raves, even the big room stuff today (which I would even argue is trying to get harder as of recent)

Vond dit 1 van de meest verschrikkelijke performers, kan me ook weinig nummers van hem herinneren waarvan ik zeg, ja die was vet.
@dkyx12 жыл бұрын
