I wish I had this a year ago. I've worked through this part the hard way after doing almost everything wrong for months, and now I'll be anxiously awaiting the rest. Asked the spouse for a workshop with three no's. For others watching here, please consider the wisdom they're imparting before you do what I did. I ask what is going on? My spouse went from loving, kind, and gentle man to a hard, granite hearted, and says it is too much to name just one thing. We have been married 12 years. I am trying to think about any time my spouse seemed frustrated with me. I do not keep a tally of things he has done to annoy me. I say it right then and forget about it. I want to save the marriage and trying to give up hope. We are so close to children being grown and on their own. I want to travel and do the things we could not do while children were a responsibility.

My ex-wife didn't forget anything I've said or done wrong! When we got together, she would bring up the past. I tell her to stop it. Why can't she leave the past in the past where it belongs?

@@ro_boat I'm in a 4yr troubled marriage thats not looking good at all. And she remembers everything I say in a fight and I can't remember her words that are hurled at me or moreover subtle insults.

​@@ro_boat It takes work to focus on remembering the good. Our default mode as humans is to remember the bad (self-preservation). In such scenarios, that I've found helpful is to prompt her to remember a good times y'all shared recently. If she can't, remind her. If you can't, then it's time to create more of those moments. If you remind her / create those moments and she's still bent on remembering the negative and won't make any effort towards the positive, then I'm afraid y'all won't make it without external help

Great question. Stacy. I hope things are resolved and perhaps rekindled. Find one of the P.I.E.S (physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual)elements that is the weakest or that you need to work on for own personal self. For me it was Emotional. Even before becoming familiar with PIES my wife who requested a separation, mentioned the word multiple times in our arguments between eachother. Good luck. Reply if you need support.

I need to thank you because your channel got me through the hardest time in my life in 2020, and I'm not talking about the pandemic either. We're attending this weekend and I thank God it's happening. I'm excited and hopefully can help others one day who have had their heart broken. My husband thinks our marriage is great. (Actually "Fine"/ Not "Great") If he sees emotion, he YELLS and says "This conversation is ridiculous!" "Your concerns aren't REAL." "WHAT are you expecting????"
