I've ridden high performance shortboards my entire life, all shaped by local shapers in SoCal and they always worked great. I got older, they stopped shaping, and now I've tried a few Lost and Sharpeye performance boards and am absolutely shocked how bad they work in California surf. They are obviously geared towards a young, energetic and advanced surfer, surfing good waves. I'd imagine if you hit up Geoff Rasche or Stretch (or any other local shaper), they'd shape a solid performance board for you in SC waves.

Been waiting for this video! You definitely look like you have similar speed on the asym as the Panda, but far more control, which is epic. I can’t wait for your “4 Board Quiver” video in 2025! 😂

"I'm just your average everyday surfer, who surfs everyday waves"... Proceeds to show great waves and great surfing 🧐 Nice quiver review! That board domino scared the crap out of me though. Felt on edge the rest of the video. Maybe I do need an asym... Immediately picks up phone to call shaper

Cool video!! My intermediate everyday average joe quiver is: - midlength (something like chili mid strength or ci mid) - groveler/fishy type board for small waves (something like a pyzel white tiger, rnf96, twin fin fish) - squash tail thruster daily driver shortboard (something like a lost uber driver, pyzel red tiger, etc. Its not a true HPSB its got more width and vol)

Thank you! Dude that’s an epic quiver! Very similar to what I got going on. I definitely would like to add a mid-length though. That’s next on the list for sure.

I've been thinking about getting a fish for a while now and you might have pushed me over the edge haha. Saw one at Arrow when I was in SC last for under $300 that was in perfect condition. Sad I didn't snag it! But dope video-- loved hearing about your boards!!

I have 5’10” retro fish. That’s a magic board. Catch everything. I also have 6’ short board but really slow. Is that made for fast steeper wave? Definitely not for laidback waves

fish’s are the way to go in my opinion! Yeah short boards are generally made for steeper faster waves. They can be surfed in both but it’s easier to get them to work good when the waves are really good.
