The fungus being anti-fungal makes sense. Humans are anti-human. That’s why transplants and blood transfusions are as complicated as they are, and why the womb is designed to isolate the mother from her unborn fetus. Our bodies attack foreign life, but that mushroom may be better equipped for others of a similar kind.

Exactly, Fungi needs to fight off bacterial infections as well as fungal infections and to fight off competition from other fungi. So many antibiotics and antifungal meds are derived from fungi because of how effective they are at combatting infection. It's just that some of the mycotoxins that function as part of their immune system are dangerous to mammals like us as well.

I wouldn't recommend honey, it does have mild antibiotic properties but that is not enough to counteract the fact that your bodily fluids will dilute it to a concentration at which it may encourage growth of microbes. I didn’t have any bandaids in the house and I finally got to try the egg Bandaid, highly recommend! You use the membrane layer attached to inner egg shell, and when it’s dried, feels like a type of plastic but it holds together well as is. It sealed my cuts within 24hrs
@lucasfelipe8349

Please don't do this, eggs can carry Samonella and there's a real risk of you getting infected. You're lucky that nothing happened to you, but don't try It again or tell others to do It.

Are there any lookalikes to these species that we should be worried about? Like the mushroom, are there any poisonous ones that look similar in that region?
@kiryowtk2869
@kiryowtk2869 7 ай бұрын
It's irrelevant not only are basically no mushrooms toxic to the touch but also you can clearly see this mushroom has a distinct white membrane on it's bottom which no poisonous mushroom has and besides this ammount wouldnt kill you even if you ingested it even if it was something really bad like hepatotoxic amanitas
@ATCmon

They have no lookalikes, it actually can be good to pull them off because they leech off the trees.

@@TheDailyKnife009 1. Mushroom toxins are in the cells which you need to break to release that toxin usually via digestion or cooking pulling off a membrane like that will damage very few cells and release irrelevant ammounts of toxins 2. 99.9% of mushrooms are not acutely toxic in such ridiculous ammounts even the most toxic mushrooms like the hepatotoxic amanitas require an adult human to INGEST atleast a few bites to produce acute liver failure and NONE of them grow on trees this way
