you can use a thicker non stretching material like fluorocarbon as a leader, never use wire again, I am serious.

OK, I'll try some fluorocarbon, 20#, I've been using a wire leader.

Seagar Florocarbon, in a 50 to a 90 Ibs work very well.

yet again its astounding how narrow our options for swimbaits are here in North America. its an insult to the consumer to neglect to bring larger swimbaits here. really just speaks loudly how slowwitted the old boys club is when it comes to adapting to change.

THey are miles ahead of us with swimbait technology,design and application in Sweden, I can think of several companies that are building better baits then what Berkley or Storm North America are making available here. I am going to stop using that flimsy 5inch garbage and get with the rest of the world

I am a huge fan of the Swimbaits coming out of Europe Spesifically sweden but I strongly encourage you to look at brands from the UK and EU such as the Following: Fox Rage, SPRO, Storm, SALMO, there are several very good swimbait making companies that you can Order from www.kanalgratis.se who will ship to the continental US, aswell as www.sodersportfiske.se (you can look at baits on this site but they will not ship to North America,) I strongly recommend baits by Fox Rage as well as Savage Gear from Europe. they have better baits with larger profiles that are very popular for targeting large Pike and Zander. I personally, feel there is nothing wrong with what American Bait companies are doing. I like what is available in Europe more.

when I google it, I was able to find brands like East field and Wolf Creek as well as Westin Lures, I was also able to find Svartzunker as well, they are all excellent brands of large swimbaits, I think you would like SPRO IRIS lures, they have a swimbait a spinner bait and a topwater glide bait. I recommend watching PikeFight here on youtube. its a good series.
