Yes Tim is crazy amazing at sharing Gods word, utterly amazing. But, I have to point out, why would your devotion to the church be conditional on your current circumstances, in light of the sermon Tim just gave.

@@richardcalf8337 because he is human. And frequently our commitment to something is conditional Upon Our circumstances. I don't think he was saying that what he suggested is the way it should be, he was just admitting in a way his flaws. And some of the shortcomings of many churches. But I agree with your premise, that our commitment should not be dependent upon our current circumstances!

What about teaching about Sabbath and keeping it as a holy set-aside day? YESHUA kept and celebrated all the Sabbaths and Biblical High Holy Days. Why are so many still under the Roman Catholic influence of keeping Sunday as a Sabbath? It is written more than 187 times in the Bible to keep, guard and observe the Sabbath -- so why is Sunday still being held in such regard? Can anyone help me better understand this ...... please

This is brilliant! At age 67 the Holy Spirit must have brought me here - never heard such a detailed and clear commentary/teaching. Blessed be this man! I can also testify that throughout my life as soon as I identified the undermining voices, suggestions, twisted presentations in my mind, the voices completely lost their power and never tried that trick again on me. All I had to say "I know who you are - this is not my voice!"

The Lord Yahweh sent me to this video today. I have watched many of your videos and love them. You have the most unique way of bringing these scriptures to life. I really want you to know that I needed this today as I am currently going through a serious test in this point of my life. The Lord has open the eyes of my heart and has been showing me soooooo much. To everyone that reads this if Yahweh is speaking to you please listen, trust and follow because, He will blow your mind. I ask Him a question one day and get an answer the next in most cases through scripture and these amazing sermons. The Lord has blessed you greatly Tim Mackie as He speaks through your heart. You have touched my heart and allowed Jesus to come rushing in again. More great wisdom on how to take up our cross each and every day with Jesus. May the Lord Yahweh bless each and every one of us.

This is a brilliant example of how the internet can be used for eternal good! If being honest, we all recognize the inherent potential (and realized) misuse of the internet, social media and streaming content but this content, and similar others, are somewhat redemptive to the technology but totally redeeming to the nature of the Gospel and the true character of God. Well done and well spoken.

Hi Chana, how are you? question? Please tell me please...Do you read your bible? But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. Matthew 18:16 “And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.” - Exodus 25:20 (KJV) “And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.” - Exodus 37:9 (KJV) “And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.” - 1 Kings 6:27 (KJV) “And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.” - 1 Kings 8:6 (KJV) “And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.” - 1 Chronicles 28:18 (KJV) “And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.” - 2 Chronicles 3:11 (KJV) “The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.” - 2 Chronicles 3:13 (KJV) “And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:” - 2 Chronicles 5:7 (KJV) “For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.” - 2 Chronicles 5:8 (KJV) “Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.” - Isaiah 6:2 (KJV) “And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.” - Ezekiel 10:16 (KJV) Obviously I read the King James version Bible. And I think that there is strong evidence in the Bible that says that not only do the cherubim and seraphim have wings but they are very much Angelic beings that were created by God. Beautiful beyond description and with "WINGS!" how can he say that there are no winged figures in the bible... please explain.?

@@nikolasappel8783 Hi Nikolas, I see you have done some good research, and I agree with you that Cherubims are clearly described as creatures with wings. This is still , now what-5 yrs later at least since posted- among the most The most Crucial, most concise yet supremely powerful truth I can stand on and “ cease striving “ My lifelong suicidal depression fed these “voices “ to my being, and to suicide. I can’t know what why I was later revived me on the table, but these crumbs of “ manna” are always there now that I know what to listen to and what to hand over or Christ Last few moments of the talk struck like lightning far deeper than the enemy could ever reach. And this is my only hope. And it’s more than enough. May all glory be to the Lamb that was slain that I’d remain alive to hear truth. The hardest part battling depression is knowing the border between my healthy mind and diseased mind. In the fog of war it’s impossible. Thru this man - I see it. Peace be still. Stop trying to fight what Jesus already defeated. Taste and see! my life

That was a very interesting and enlightening lesson on the word peirazo. And thinking about the story and even the way that he broke it down, I wonder why he wouldn't say both meanings of the words were very applicable? Why wouldn't it be just as accurate to say that the Holy Spirit Led Jesus into battle in order to test him, to reveal the truth about him, knowing that Satan was going to tempt him? It seems to me that both meanings of the word are very applicable to this story. Edit: as I'm meditating more more on the lesson, it is becoming more and more clear what he's getting at by making the distinction and emphasizing the testing aspect over the Temptation aspect. I'm not quite sure that I can accurately express it, but somehow I feel like I'm understanding it more and more. And not just in a way that I feel like I'm forcing myself to understand Tim Mackie's interpretation, but rather I feel like the entirety of scripture that I know of depicts how God intends to use Humanity to reveal truth of him. Yes we may still be tempted along the way, but God's ultimate purpose is to reveal the truth to us. I think another way of saying it is that God does not need to tempt us to reveal truth, and he surely does not tempt us at all. But, God can also surely turn temptation into good. I probably just said what he was saying in this lesson, but probably in a less effective way. But this comment is somewhat me talking to myself. LOL. Preaching to myself if you will. I still believe that by Tim own definition Satan would it be considerate the tester, he would be considered the tempter. But I think the grand picture that scripture paints, and the purpose of all of the Wilderness experiences both on a large-scale and the individual person scale, all of the experiences are best thought of as tests. So it still seems that it's more accurate to describe the Holy Spirit and God as the tester, and Satan as the tempter.

I use this as a metaphor to disciple people. Imagine if you have not eaten in 40 days, what would you look like physically? Imagine if the word of God is food for your soul? When is the last time you were in the word? What do you think your soul looks like? I believe God gave me that with this piece of scripture as the back drop to that thought.

The older ones would have been the most encouraging to the younger. "Listen up, I am not going to make it if we don't work as one" can we put ourselves in their shoes? What would they be screaming to us if they could? Perhaps, pray the Lords prayer and understand the OUR Father part? Perhaps, they would say value Christ in each other? Value his vessel, the more people that are born again means the more of him we get to have on earth now. I would rather him be in everyone around the world. The more of him in you, the more of him I get to have. Yes Christ IN you the hope of glory. Grateful for gifts of teaching and those bold enough to speak it out. God adds to our number. But what is he adding? He is adding himself! Do we really want him in earth? Do we value him in others or fail to see him in others? When the deciples asked him to "show us the Father" he told them "if you see me you see the father. Wow! What do we see in Jesus? So now we have Jesus leading us out. I understand that we are one body made up of different parts. I need all of you! I need you to be strong, not giving up. Stop looking at what others are doing, follow him. Be grateful for tests and trials, they are for your best, because he loves you. I value all believers, especially grateful for those who understand that he is in them. We are one body all around the world. Let us stay focused on his will. We want him to add to our numbers!!!!! The more he adds, the more of him we get to have. Seek to see him in others. Look for the fruit! Value him in others!

I love how Tim teaches WITHIN the bible and doesn't try to extract a "Topic" out to try and make it "applicable" to us here and now. I can easily see how a pastor might take the devil tempting Jesus and talk on and on about how we can relate that to scenarios in our lives... Tim talks about what the Bible is presenting, how it got there and what it means going forward. May Yahweh bless you and your ministry Pastor Tim!

One may hear many voices but here is the to discern them : Jesus reminds you of your human value while the tester will try to dehumanise you.
