1. Don't ask "how are you?" 2. Don't say "you lost that round" or "you're losing" 3. Don't lie Instead, 1. Say what they need to do (in terms of punches, blocking/slipping, footwork/angles) 2. If your fighter is losing rounds and is on the last round, say they need to knock out their opponent or to win the last round big or to step it up

Have you ever encountered a fighter that needed the "your not winning" so they don't go into cruise control? Somebody that needed the extra pressure to perform a little extra.

+VerticalVertex I have had many many fighters that needed tons of extra"Pressure", However instead of saying you are not winning, or You are losing, I can replace that by saying you only have one round left you need to win big, or you need to knock him out or submit him to win. There is a lot of changes in the tone of my voice and my level of urgency. But I still never couldn't imagine having to tell your fighter they are losing.

This kind of stuff I’m fine with cornermen saying, but I don’t like it when they tell the strategy of the opponent or what offenses their fighter should look out for, or tell their fighter to do specific maneuvers like leg kick, jab more often, or defend the takedown. Cause then it’s an artificial fight the fighter’s not using his own mind to win. Saying “knock him out” is ok cause there’s a million ways he can do that, but don’t give out specific maneuvers.
