You're so on point ! I struggled my first 8 weeks of nursing school trying to figure out NCLEX style questions. Second 8 weeks I'm making A's I recommend the Lippincott Books Q and A !

No problem ! We nursing students and nurses must stick together. 🙌🏼

I agree with the second one a lot. Currently taking Pathophysiology as a required prerequisite for my program and the NCLEX questions are very different than your average prerequisite course. However, after a lot of practice problems you realize the general “trend”.

Hey Nurse Bass, I just passed my NCLEX with 75 questions! My school had us use ATI to study and after I graduated in October I used U World, which helped me a lot. U World is so similar to the NCLEX.

Bro, I'm about to start an accelerated program and your videos are gold. I appreciate your vulnerability, empathy, and willingness to share your knowledge. I was a god-awful student in high school and college, so even though I'm at a totally different place in life, starting up again is scary. But you are definitely an encourager and a leader. Thanks for all you do.

I definitely agree with that third one especially! It makes your transition into a professional nurse easier. I graduated in may and have been a new RN in home care for about four months and it’s been a rough transition for me. Especially because in the home, it is only us physically there with the patient (aside from family of course). We care for medically complex children (trachs, vents, GT’s, TPN) so caring for these kids are in our hands. I’m learning to gain the confidence that these are my patients and that I’m competent enough to effectively care for them, but definitely agree that that mindset you mentioned was something I wish I did in school as well 👍🏻 thanks for the video Brad!

this video is SO IMPORTANT. thank you for this!! i've had many similar conversations with fellow students. Personally, my biggest challenge is the exams & the difference in the questions betweeen pre preqs and nursing exams, the NCLEX style questions, narrowing down to 2 answers etc etc. all things many other students struggle with! i too wish i would have prepared more for this specifically, maybe about 6 mos to a year prior, when i was finishing prereqs. i started making other sacrifices about a 12-15 mos prior to my first nursing class.. finances, work schedule, budgeting, not taking vacations or shopping sprees, socially, all of it. anyone that is about to start or just starting a nursing program... pay attention to this video!! :) it will help you so much later!!

I have watched so many of your videos!! I’ll end up watching all of your videos before I’m out of nursing school! You’re so motivational and I really appreciate your videos! You have no idea how encouraging your words are to a nursing student like me!! Thank you!

Great tips Nurse Bass, the definition of sacrifice changed significantly for me during nursing school, that is one thing I wish I knew before too.

Lia Soprano Lol for some reason that was what felt natural at the time whenever referring to “The Nurse Nook” instead of “Alexis”. I know, it sounded weird to me to after I went back and edited the video :p

I'm sorry but I think he's cute lol, I see that ring though so I know there are boundaries lol, just gonna admire in silence lol. But no fr he knows a lot about nursing! I'm nervous about LPN school since I have a 2 year old with no help, I have to really make sure no obstacle gets in my way, If I don't do this now, there is no plan B.
