This is the problem with modern American homes. Everyone’s obsessed with making their home always look ready to be sold at any moment. Enjoy your house. Live in it. Decorate it to your taste, and don’t worry about what some future kajillionaire buyer will think of your interior decoration.

All of these things make peoples houses HOMES. Think of everyones houses as Castles. They live in these castles and it is their oppinion that matters not yours. If they want it that way they can. If you make people feel bad and make them change there safe comfortable place because it makes them feel CHEAP, might aswell not talk at all. Be respectful. Wow!! I love this!! As someone who gets overstimulated by mess and clutter these are great ways to reduce that. But a few things 1. You don’t need to cut a hole to hide cords on a mounted TV, there are white cord strip stickers on Amazon 2. There could be a special place on the home for kids drawings (not the fridge, maybe a wall) with a cute little frame. 3. There’s nothing wrong with keeping visual clutter to a minimum while keeping your home warm and comfy. A balance is necessary! Not so clean it’s stale but not so messy and cluttered that it causes anxiety

In other words... If your house looks like you live in it. It looks cheap. 😮 So... Buy a new house. Hire a decorator. And go live somewhere else. Cause you don't want to ruin it. 😉

The one about the fridge is so grating and annoying and I don’t even want kids It’s: what matters more: making your house look “expensive” or making your house a lived in home that guests can see the love, care, and life fostered in it NEVER be ashamed of the stuff that points to you loving your family Clutter is whatever. Who cares? But if you are particular about looking put together in front of guests, sure, clean it up, but this is your home. You’re allowed to have jackets hanging off the couch. It’s ok But I agree on the wires one. Using “cheap” is condescending and weirdly classist but it does look bad and has no benefit or added value by looking like that, but girly, stop pushing people to have to do damage deposit on rental properties. Their best option is electrical tape that matches the wall color (put all the wires together and tape over them. Don’t kink the wires when you do this)

Not really. The “improvements” she showed look cheap. The rooms looked staged like someone ready to sell and move out. The original pictures looked richer like people actually live in their homes and spend money in them.

For those who are confused she wants the house to look vacant and like a white middle age man lives there with his cat as his only friend. Hope this helped❤

Cheap? No. Lived-in, yes. You seem concerned with appearances (for other people?) Yet that cheap green-screen filter and bad hair bleach is kinda 'cheap' looking.

Fair enough, having cords hidden looks nicer and is maybe even safer for children or pets. But the other two are just removing any proof that you live there- especially the fridge. My fridge has drawings and paintings me and my younger sister did when we were little and pretty magnets and pictures from holidays and first days of school- I’d rather my house looked cheap but full of happy memories than a blank emotionless one

Basic tips. I agree this could elevate your house. But you need not make a face at someone's house. Clam down.

I am keeping my kids art on my fridge lol if a guest comes over and that’s what bothers them and they think I’m “cheap” they can leave out of my life 😂
