Here are 3 things to think about when considering homeschool:
1. Why do you want to homeschool? Figuring out your WHY will help make your decision so much easier. Are you looking for more time with your kids? Do you want to provide a different education then the schools around you are offering? Does your little one need a little more time, attention and patience when learning and you know you can provide that? Travel a lot? Your WHY is your passion. The thing that will keep you going and pushing during the great times and harder times.
2. Who is your support system? Who will you go to that will support you, encourage you and reassure you? There will be days that make you question your decision. Days where you feel inadequate to do this job. Days where people question your choice and your ability to do this. Who can you go to to keep you grounded? Find your person. You just need one.
3. What is your homeschool style? Eclectic, classical, Waldorf? There are many more. Figuring out your style will help you decide your style of teaching, what curriculum to follow, and your overall homeschool atmosphere.
Homeschooling is a beautiful experience. You will work your hardest but also will receive your biggest rewards. I hope this helped!
