I’m not sure you understand how standardized tests work. They test you on grade level topics as well as way above grade level content that way you have a range to know where your child falls. So do not base your curriculum on that alone.

I have a son that’s in the 8th grade and I was wondering if this a real virtual school?

It’s an online curriculum. We love it! I assign what I want and unassigned what I don’t want. It’s extremely customizable. I think perhaps she didn’t customize the curriculum and just went through the auto assigned work.

Hi i recently bought this for my 4 month old since her doctor said it was fine for her to start on cereals and purees I have seen a lot of mommy’s mix it with formula or breast milk but on the bottle of beech-nut it says we can use water but her dr said keep away from water right now do you think it’ll be okay to mix it since it’s not water alone? I need someone’s opinion on that I’ve messaged her dr but all I get as a reply is for me to use formula or breast milk🤔

I’m so proud of my skin. Took me 35 years to learn it and get it under control. But I finally got it! I know the desperation people in my shoes feel. The insecurities, embarrassment, the sadness that comes along with having challenging skin. That’s why I promised myself I’d only share products that actually worked. Products I’ve tried for MONTHS to make sure they do what they say they do. And when I love it, I ask them for a code so you can try them too and get a discount. @fountsociety is one of my secrets. One of the lines I’m using to tackle my skin challenges and I’m in love. It kept me moisturized during the harsh winter and helped calm my super sensitive skin. My go to products in their skin care line: hydrating serum, brightening oil, balancing mist, and water cream. All products I reviewed with my dermatologist for the go ahead before using and she loved them! My go to body care products: body serum and body oil. The smell of these two!!! Amazing. My skin has never felt more smooth. Whether you are having challenges with your skin or you simply want to make sure that what you put on your skin is clean and toxin free….try out Fount Society. Use code OHMOTHER20 for 20% off your order. . . . #skinjourney #comfortableinmyskin #skinroutine #cleanskincareproducts #skinproducts #skinglow #fountsociety #skincaretips #skincaretips #acne #eczema #adultacne #motherhood #honestmotherhood #momlife

I get the fisher price baby wipes from a dollar tree near me, and they work great for simple clean up. Especially for men’s under care for sweat. I’m a female and use it for my face and sometimes bikini area because I have allergies

Yeah I agree with you. I’m not a big fan of these wipes. Someone gifted them to me. I was hesitant to use it on my kids, but tolerated it wrell. I won’t use them again. They have no moisture and are very thin.

Today I wasn’t graceful. I wasn’t delicate. Or patient. To outsiders looking in, I have a lot to work on as a mom. But to me, the person living in the middle of the chaos just trying to make it to the end of the day…I’m doing a freaking amazing job! Some days suck. There’s really no nice way to say it. Some days your kids wake up on the wrong side of the bed and nothing you do makes it better. Some day you just can’t keep up with all the: “I want” “I’m hungry” “play with me” “play with me again…and again…and again” Some days you tap out mentally, emotionally, and physically all at once. Sometimes only minutes after waking up for the day. Some days you wake up counting down the minutes until you go back to sleep. And well…what I’m trying to say is that you’re and amazing mom. What you feel is valid and normal. You are NOT a bad mom. You’re an amazing mom who’s doing her best. And that’s more than enough. . . . #honestmotherhood #honestmom #momlife #momconfessions #momtruth #parentlife #parenthood #sahm #mominstagram #momtalk

A lot of birth is fear, and if we can gain techniques to manage that fear, birth can be so empowering. Anyone interested, check out Bridget Teyler. We are born to birth. I am praying for a vbac. My first I was so young, and I lost my mucus plug and rang the hospital not knowing and they made me come in and pressured me into induction. I was so scared it came so quick and strong and I wanted a beautiful natural birth but I got so scared because I had no idea what I was doing and I got an epidural. I regretted it to this day because it wasn’t the birth I prayed for. Then with my second, I thought I could finally have that birth but my hopes were crushed when I developed placenta previa. I got pregnant in Feb 23 but unfortunately I lost that baby. I am now finally pregnant again Feb 24 and I am praying that this baby makes it and I can have the unmedicated birth I dream of. I am scared, but excited. I never got to labor naturally with my first. And this time I will be prepared and ready.

3 myths about homeschooling: 1. Your children will be socially awkward When covid happened, a lot of homes were forced to homeschool. After Covid a lot of homes saw the benefits of homeschooling and decided to continue and not enroll their kids back in school. Because of that more doors opened to programs and groups directed towards homeschooling children. My daughter attended public school and socialized more homeschooling than she did in school. All it takes is a little research and joining some local homeschool groups and you’ll be amazed at how socialized your children will be. 2. Your children will not receive a REAL education You will often hear this and feel it yourself through self guilt. But let me reassure you, that couldn’t be further from the truth. There are so many options out there to calm your worrisome heart. There are multiple companies that offer a full curriculum for your children for each grade. So you can rest assured knowing your kid is learning everything they need to for that year. You can also look for assessment based on grades to make sure you are covering all the material they need for the year. 3. Homeschooling is expensive While some homes make homeschooling feel out of reach, that couldn’t be further from the truth. So much of homeschool is free or very low cost. The most expensive curriculum doesn’t equal the best. The best curriculum is the curriculum that clicks with your kids. Local libraries are always free and offer a large range of homeschool activities. Check out bookstores as they offer activities as well. And ALWAYS, ALWAYS ask all places if they offer homeschool discounts. You’ll be amazed at how many places say yes. . . . #homeschool #homeschooling #homeschoollife #homeschoolmom #homeschoolfun #homeschoolmama #homeschoolcurriculum #homeschoolcommunity #homeschoolsupport #homeschoolmoms #homeschoolplanning #sahm #sahmomlife #momlife #motherhood #schooleducation #homeschoolinspiration

This has to be the most vulnerable post I’ve ever shared. My skin has to be the most sensitive topic I can ever talk about. My skin has been one of the main reasons I’ve cried myself to sleep, the thing that traumatized me the most in all of grade school and beyond, and why I use makeup as a crutch. I have tried EVERYTHING. Accutane, antibiotics, birth controls, cut out dairy, drank a gallon of water daily, exercised, used every over the counter and doctor prescribed creams, got blood work, purchased every machine possible…..nothing worked. I truly felt like I was a loss cause and I’d have to deal with this for the rest of my life. Last month during another flair up I decided to do some research one more time. Every dermatologist gave me the same routine and medicine as the last. There has to be more. The creams and pills are not working. Something inside of me is not right and I needed to find a dermatologist who would take their time with me. One who saw me as a person and not a number. Last month I found Amy Black, the owner of @radiancederm. She focuses on healing from within. Finding what is going on inside that is effecting the outside so much. We sat down for over an hour and had the most in depth consultation I’ve ever had with a dermatologist. My journey will be long. But for the first time in a long time I’m excited for my skin and motivated to work hard on it. I will be documenting my journey on my KZbin channel so if you haven’t already, make sure to subscribe to see my skin journey. My hope is to help other moms and women who are in my shoes. . . . #skin #comfortableinmyskin #beauty #skinroutine #skincare #skincareroutine #momskincare #acne #adultacne #pcos #hormones #skinjourney #honestmom #honestmotherhood #motherhoodunplugged #motherhoodjourney #vulnerability #bekindtoyourself #confidence #selfconfidence

Homeschooling is not always sunshine and rainbows. Some days are really hard. Here are 5 things to do when those hard days come: 1. Take a breather. Pause class and have free time. Allow the kids to run around and do something that helps you unwind. Come back to class when you feel regrouped and reenergized. 2. Stop class for the day. It’s ok to know when you and your kids have hit your limits for the day and need to call it quits. The beauty of homeschool is the freedom to start and stop whenever you want. Stop class and regroup the next day. 3. Change scenery. If the weather allows, go outside or to a park. Go to a different room in the house. Cuddle in bed while completing the assignment. Sometimes a different area gives you and your kids a new perspective for the day. 4. Change the curriculum. If your little ones are struggling with a certain topic, only focus on that topic for the day. Your curriculum may ask you to complete a few tasks for the day, but after a hard topic that may be too much. Combine their easier subjects for one day and allow for only one topic for the day when that topic is a bit hard for them. 5. Join a Facebook group or co-op. Making friends that are in your shoes gives you a safe space to vent. We ALL have bad days. We all have days we feel like we are failing. Groups and co-ops validates those feeling while encouraging you to keep going. Always remember you were built for this. The hard days do not define you. You got this! . . . #homeschool #homeschooling #homeschoollife #homeschoolmom #honesthomeschooling #momlife #sahm #sahmomlife #homeschoolideas #homeschooled #kindergarten #preschool #elementary
