I too was guilty of stalking my email for interview invites at this time 3 years ago when I applied to dental school! Would love to hear what schools you guys are waiting to hear back from and wishing you all luck and sending hugs bc i know you must be stressed

Hi Madina! I’m a subscriber of yours as a pre-dental student & I have an upcoming interview w Columbia very soon! Thank you so much for this video & your tips! I’ve also been working full-time as a DA in my gap year & totally agree that it’s helped me learn so much already & also kept me busy from constantly checking my emails 😆 I had a couple questions I was hoping you could answer 🥺 I was trying to find specific clubs/student orgs at CDM from the website, but for some reason, could not find any specific “list.” I was hoping you could guide me in the right direction or let me know what are some various student clubs at the school! :) I’m trying to gather my thoughts on the big & important “why Columbia” question. What made you choose Columbia & how have your experiences been so far that build on your initial reasoning? And lastly, I know you’ve mentioned some great tips in this & interview videos, but any interview tips specific to CDM? I’m so excited and nervous!! Thank you so much ☺️ Please lmk if you’d like me to ask separately on another platform instead of in the comments :)

Hello! First off, congrats on your interview! 🥳🥳If you want to find what clubs Columbia has, pretty much all of them have an instagram so you can look up cdm_ “whatever club or activity you might be interested in” and it should pop up. You can message the page and ask them what kind of activities and events they do. In terms of the why Columbia question, it has to be something personal to you, tbh they’ll see right through it if you’re giving an answer you think they want to hear. Talk about things about the school that genuinely excite you. Whether it’s the location, the pass fail curriculum, the medical school integration, research opportunities etc. I would say I definitely don’t regret coming here but like with any place, there’s always room for improvement and our admins have been receptive in discussing proposed changes. In terms of the interview, I was asked very informal questions, and really nothing about my academics, like I’ve mentioned in my interview tips video, it was more of a get to know you conversation. Just make sure you have a good question prepared for your interviewer☺️
