Currently going through a rough breakup, I started watching you to know what to expect when my ex got into medical school.. I’m so broken, but I fell in love with you as a person and your content. You remind me to persevere through tough obstacles every video, and as you do everyday, I will overcome this one. Thank you for teaching me that ❤️

You will. As a dental student been there 2 and a half years ago and trust me that break up made me who I am today and I’ m so grateful for the experiance. It will be the same for you as time will unfold. Don’ t forget to love and be kind to yourself, be reminded of how uniqe and extraordinary you are. Wish you all the best ❤️

My mother and fathers relationship faced some hardships when he began med school, that’s what it seemed like at first anyways, turns out he’s a narcissist and that was the biggest display of it that had happened thus far. She got out right around the time he graduated which was good but not early enough as a lot of damage had already been done. All this to say it may prove to be a good thing that y’all split up and you got out, despite how hard it feels right now; just keep your head up, remember that healing is not a linear journey, and know that you’ll come out the other end stronger for it all. Best of luck and all the mental hugs cause breakups suck ass.

I haven’t been able to watch her channel in a while, but seeing how she’s grown as a person makes me have faith in humanity as a whole. When you really need that kind of faith the people who inspire it sort of live in your heart forever. I hope she remembers how much she lives on in all the people she’s been so kind and inspirational to. We all should know our positive impact.

Also, without violating HIPAA, talking generally about cases or some new disease state you came across would be something I'd love to hear! That would be neat 🙂

"And then you go upstairs and get ready to not be in the way" can pretty much sum up anything for me if something happens at my nursing school clinicals 😂 but you see exciting stuff sometimes...from a distance. I am a second year APRN student and absolutely love watching these med school journey videos! I started my second clinical rotation yesterday and my preceptor and a few other of the MDs at the practice told me that I should go to med school instead because of how knowledgeable I am. I am hopeful that maybe down the line there will be an APRN to MD program. Of all of the med school youtubers and seeing the different med school programs and their flow, I would have to say your program does the best for M3/M4 and getting students to really act like a full provider as in seeing the patients, doing the H&P, writing the note, etc. There are some programs that don't have med students write notes and only have them do the history. I am glad you are enjoying it and are learning alllllll of things!

Have attendings been present at all the surgeries you've observed so far or are certain residents trusted with doing certain ones without direct supervision? Are the OR masks a better quality than the blue ones or just a different color? Do surgeons wear the same mask the entire operation or switch to a new one after a certain amount of time?

Pimping is when a resident or attending asks medical students questions that they expect them to know (ex. the physiology behind a disease the patient may have, or what drug to use, etc.)
@shelbyshelby39363 жыл бұрын
Lol! Yea, you NEVER EVER utter the words “quiet” or “slow” or talk about how the shift will or may go “good” etc. 🤦🏾♀️ it will(9/10) end up being the opposite and you will regret those words you used before all hell broke loose! 😂
