Depends on where you were studying. Mostly the path to the school determines the quality of the students (the harder the path the better the students). A job has broader pool of students, bootcampers, self-taught ...etc.

For me its the other way around. Many self taughts in the job that kick ass to comp science people. Experience and willingness to learn is everything, a paper is worth nothing.

School doesn't really teach that stuff it is to be expected. But if you want to learn stuff like that, go to technical school. Some of them can teach you,

I don't think any type of school could teach you that, simply because the cost would be too high. Only real experience will. Unless by technical school you mean the ones that require you to work on freelance projects to pass and things like that, then yeah!

@TheCodingWhale350 Excluding school payment (cost) and time, no the actual reason is. It is too much. The goal of a school is to teach basic. Not teach everything. If you are looking for a school that will teach you everything, you'll be disappointed. Unless it is the school of life. Average School is not supposed to teach you docker. Or how to make a PR or how to exit VIM etc. No, not that technical school. I think it is not available in your area.

If you make a square like linked list data structure you could have a rare O(√(n)/2) time complexity. I've thought it up but haven't tried yet, I'll get my hands on it eventually.

Yes! A lot of modern schools/Bootcamps teach the modern stuff but it's sadly at the cost of fundamentals and the more abstract concepts.
