I've just bought my first Ocarina this year (covid isolation made me do it lol) and have no idea how to play, even though I have some musical background. Your videos are so helpful! And make me feel guided to getting a good start on this instrument. Thank you!! :)

I don't know anyone who didn't discover the ocarina from Zelda, and they hold it with right hand on the nose, left on the bigger portion. Great video btw.

This uploaded when I was in school but I’m watching it as I’m home. I have 2 questions. 1. Are you going to do more tutorials on multi-chamber ocarinas? 2. What happened to the daily vlogs on the second channel? Ok byeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I just got a sonoro alto c today and man it is different from the pendant and it really hurt my thumbs and wrists and part of my left pinky. I read it should go away within a few weeks and I really hope so cause I can’t be dealing with all this pain to play an instrument if it’s never gonna go away.

Would it change if I am left handed in terms of top hand vs bottom or would it be easier to just learn right handed?
@18IMAMGODINA3 жыл бұрын
Hmm this is interesting , i am right handed and i accidentaly made 2 ocarinas with different hand holds , one is for right hand being on top and the other one is for left hand being on top , i find it easier when my left hand is on top for some reason...

I bought the black plastic one. Suggestion: or maybe I am not understanding your videos. 1. Need warmups and Exercise. 2. Step by Step how to hold correctly for mouth and hands. Note: I have been practicing violin warms and exercises because my fingers need practice for the Ocarina. It is senseless to teach if you cannot explain correctly step by step. When I watch the videos to me there are steps missing and all over the place. Some/most like me have ADD/ADHD and Dyslexia. Other then that. You have excellent lessons and I am still working and trying how to understand how to properly hold and blow thru it. I have been looking at others. Thx.

I don’t think you gave good advices, especially for “support fingers”, those are common defects that makes more difficult playing something a little bit faster and sometimes they can even affect the tuning
