Burglars go straight to the Master Bedroom first looking for jewelry boxes and safes. A KZbin video of a career burglar recommended to hide your valuables in the attic. I personally have a portable fire safe full of my copper rounds and a small amount of silver. It's heavy and sounds valuable if shaken. It sits next to my bed as a decoy.

My dad would have caches around our property. Makes me wonder about some he may have forgotten. My brother buries his in the woods. My grandpa used to keep his in his garage inside of an old tire mounted on a wheel as a spare for his tractor. Plenty of places to hide, just takes a little imagination.

I think serious stacker should have a low level "decoy safe" openly visible. The decoy safe should be securely bolted down and should have lots of fake gold and silver pieces, they are readily available and dirt cheap online along with a couple hundred in cash. That will divert their attention to that safe and in the event they do open it, will likely be happy with their find. At least until they take the ill gotten goods to a pawn shop 🤣😂 AS for diversion safes, years ago I had a WD40 diversion safe. I had $1000 in it. My brother was house sitting While we were out of country and he tried to use the WD40, naturally nothing came out so he threw it away and replaced it with a new can of WD40 :/ Great video, liked and subbed.
@H.M.SKingGeorgeV9 ай бұрын
That is the trouble with those kinds of diversion safes.. The container appears to be so worthless that people could throw them out.
@nick5404 жыл бұрын
Great tips! The main not benefit to a regular safe is fire protection.
@ragtagstacking41194 жыл бұрын
The can is too small, but a lot of the other diversion safes can fit a fireproof pouch inside. I should have talked about that on the video.

To me, buy some junk jewelry and put it in a jewelry box. They will find that and take that and then get out thinking they scored something worth while. The point being is they spend less time in your house because they think they made a worth while score.

I agree, it’s good to have a few decoys in areas that will make make them think they made out with a big score.

Wouldn’t advise putting silver in laundry room as silver tarnishes with high humidity
@ragtagstacking41194 жыл бұрын
I am leaving a coin out to see how it tones just from sitting out in the elements. I’m not trying to artificially tone it, I’m hoping the humid Toronto summer will do something noticeable to it. No luck yet, but I never thought about leaving it in the laundry room while a load is on to see if that gets the tarnishing going. Only that one coin, not my whole stack.

Keep your stack hidden in the most unlikely place. I keep a walmart sentry safe in my closet with only a single 18" purple jelly double dong in it. Decoys are great and if someone got by all my security when I wasn't there, they would probably grab the safe and leave, not finding the real stack, only to be greeted with a didlo and a note that says go fuck yourself. It was funny explaining to a wife but humor was mutual. Just be creative and I strongly believe in decoys to make them leave. If they make it that far 🤣
