Hi, I'm a ghostie main, a really good one. Yes this is very true but my main issue is line of sight and structures Ghostie has mechanic where if he is lean stalking (stalking from around something) he gets stalk quicker, MUCH quicker, my advice is to make sure he doesn't have a lot to lean off of, and if you know hes stalking you, either pull a lot of plays to get him to hit you or break line of sight as much as you can, if you get exposed, don't loop around small structures as he can easily bait by crouching and confuse you, HOWEVER don't loop around too long structures either unless they have good vaults to get more distance. Lastly, if you know its a ghostie, be sure you are constantly looking around when doing objectives to reveal him and not get caught heavily off guard.

If ghostface is right behind you in chase and he isn't hitting you, your stalk meter is probably 99% and he is likely waiting for his power to come back. I suggest running for the nearest pallet and using it to make distance. Also as someone who plays a lot of ghostface I've noticed it's nearly impossible to reveal him if he is leaning on something unless your behind him or to his side. So if you see him leaning, try to hide and give him nothing. He can build stalk on almost any part your body. I've marked people when the only thing I could see was their sneakers or a sliver of their back.

That's why I always used addons that gave me high uptime on being sneaky with Telephoto Lens to make revealers Oblivious in order to mindgame finesse & win loops, and the Matchbook to reduce shroud CD. Use G.F's power to win loops with no red stain/terror radius, and to potentially, unsuspectedly grab occupied survivors off a gen, rather than waste precious time getting stalks that can be gimped in so many ways cuz shit is just too survivor sided sometimes. Only time I hard-stalk is on my Obsession if im using STBFL, and I make sure the meter is 99% incase they try being a hero and I can just 1 tap them and only lose minimal stacks.

There is no addon that affects his reveal mechanic in this way. The only ones that exist are for when a Survivor is either on the Hook or in the Dying state, and changes the reveal time to 3 seconds. Which almost no GF player uses because they're bad addons.

Not really. The reveal mechanic is a mess, even for both sides. Sometimes it isnt possible to reveal him in in a place without obstacles and the other time you reveal him while he looks around the corner which shouldn't work so easily.

For the second one that wouldn’t entirely work because if someone is marked that means theyre a one hit down and you taking a protection hit is putting more pressure on the team

An injured person is better than a downed person because a downed person allows the killer to put more pressure on the team and taking a protection hit for a marked survivor will slow GF down and give the marked survivor an opportunity to make distance and outrun exposure. You kind of just countered your own claim and if you think an injured person puts more pressure on the team than a downed person I genuinely worry about your knowledge of the game. I can give more explanation if you need it.

The addon doesn't do that, in fact that addon doesn't exist anymore. It was his Driver's License which took his reveal distance from 40 meters down to 32. Driver's License doesn't do that anymore, it now damages gens for 20% and blocks them for 15s after marking a survivor on a generator.

Use the edges of your screen, you can stealth around Ghost Face while watching him by keeping him on either edge and out of the middle or top portions. It's tricky but very doable.

Just loop him around high obstacles, you don't even need a pallet or a window, just make circles around water tower or haystack for example. It's good way to waste his time since he's 4,4m/s and will probably lose bloodlust a couple of times because of losing you in his sight, he also can't use his power so he needs to m1 you. If it's a map with low obstacles then gg.
