I d say christian sorum is pretty hard to read. I mean, he can hit that diagonal ball all night long and when the opposite blocker tries to swing inside for a Block, he just hits over his shoulder with the same approach. He is both, perceptive and aware

I vote for Lupo as well. to me, he is one of the best hitters (and also defenders). I haven't studied his approach so much. but I study him for the range of places he can put the ball and the variety of techniques he uses to hit.

I wanna say Bruno is also a very deceptive hitter. Dude always has the same approach and jumps super high no mattter whether he hits hard or shoots the ball. There was a time when nobody seemed to have a read on him.

Hand setting is pretty hard with so many different methods and I was thinking of a how to set video too step by step on what to do and what are common things to avoid. I know I'm super late and what not, but how would you read or defend someone who tips a lot. For example, I may go up for a block and the attacker will tip the ball over me making it difficult for my teammate to get or I won't go up for the block and they will just give a really short ball/tip. This is a very consistent thing I see with many players I play with, they don't swing, they just tip or roll. Maybe I just need to find new people to play with. Any tips or ideas that may help me improve this?? Thank you!

Hey McKibbin Brothers, Not a defensive question, but something I am trying to figure out with my game. How do you jump serve without putting too much strain on your knees? I want to learn to jump server, but on days that I jump serve I get a mild pain in my knees and I am worried about the long term health of my knees if I keep that up. Also, can you compete at the top level without a jump serve? Thanks!

Definitely. Having a jump serve is just another tool you have on your utility belt, but you have a great float serve that you can place almost anywhere on the court then it can be just as good if not better than a jump serve. If anything, a jump float is a lot less stressful on your knees than a spike serve.

I am very deceptive player. Nobody knows where the ball will go. Sometimes even i dont know. So i am deceiving all including myself. It takes time for the blocker to block. Where i hit instantly. With bilions of variations. Random shots. Fast return balls, pokes,fists shoulders, knees, elbows. Bump set the ball, oponents are back in the court waiting for strong spike from my partner... but ball slightly go over the net and fall down in the oponents side of the court...
