Mark, five months ago I watched one of your videos about building muscle over 50 and it inspired me. I've been following your tips and as of today I have lost 38 pounds. I'm feeling stronger and more sure-footed. A bonus surprise is how much better I feel mentally. Strength training pays off, and it pays off almost immediately.

The most important thing too remember is that age is a number because I can scale 12/12 roofs like Spider-Man while guys half my age are terrified to even climb a ladder. It’s all about a strong mind and not being a beta male and not being soft as charming. I drink and smoke and I can still complete a triathlon. It’s not about diet or drugs it’s about mental fortitude and not drinking the kool aid

OLDER GUYS?! I'm 49 and i am in the best shape of my life going into my 50s. Years ago 50 might have seemed old but people are living into there 100's now a days so 50 is super young.

Great stuff Mark!...man, your point on eliminating sugar...I think that is probably the biggest/best single dietary step a guy of any age can take to lose fat and improve his health and well being. Sugar is a killer, and it's not just in obvious things, like pop and donuts, it seems like it is in almost everything these days...got to be careful, read labels, manufacturers are "sneaking" sugar into foods you might think wouldn't have any.

Eric, animal protein like chicken, beef, or even hard boiled eggs if you're okay with the smell. Tuna or sardines are great too. Have some greens from lettuce, spinach or get in some other colorful vegetables. Some fruit. Potatoes work great. Olives, certain nut butters, there are tons of great options.

Mark, I'm 60 and I've come along way since 2016 where I had one foot in the grave literally. I don't have sugars and fast foods. Mainly cause I used to be a full blown type 2 diabetic. As soon I stopped sugar the weight I had fell off. My body went down to it's normal weight by itself without me having to work on it. I now drink green smoothies and don't have to lose weight. I just need to get ripped. I've got dumbbells, curling barbell and an adjustable bench and a door pull-up bar (which I find currently hard). I also have resistance bands and Suspension straps. Whether I'm doing upper body training or lower body training I always include my abs at the end of each workout.

I'm guessing TRT is required for that kind of ripped. You can get "healthy" and look fit, but RIPPED, after 50, isn't an option unless you're genetically predisposed to being lean, and never let yourself go. Once you slow down after 50, it's a whole new kind of hell, your body is like "Oh?! is it time to fall apart? sweet! :D thanks guy!". With TRT, absolutely possible, but you still need to the drive, the ambition, it's work, none of it is free...you're much better off never slowing down, unfortunately, life happens to us, and the unexpected can force a situation we weren't ready for, time to overcome, and push, but at a moderate pace, YOU ARE NOT 25 ANYMORE!

8 weeks of real lifting will net shoulders and traps similar to this guy. Sure, he could be using gear but honestly, so what. I’m 50 and my body responds quickly to working out. All it takes is about 2 months to see your body de-age.
