After seeing many debate competitions, I must say that along with clarity and you need to have a higher pitch of voice to win. Judges interpret low pitched voice as being less confident. So yeah, you need to shout a bit

i have never seen a debate where the debater havent used any logical fallacy, 99.9% of people are the victim of cognitive biases but they wouldnt accept it. i believe i do have the habit of finding grey but i find people thinking in extremes, therefore i no more argue with people

You can always win with high pitch voice in india. First , our guys ( primarily teenagers and jobless audience ) worship aggression. Secondly , you can send the debating person in disarray with your aggression where he or she will lose their trail of thought and logic. Its not a productive way of debate, but thats how it works in TV debates. Those who can roast their opponents , are declared winner by public
