I don't think I've ever heard of a positive outcome when it comes to the random kid you don't talk to spontaneously invites you to a sleepover scenario. Kids are especially cruel in late elementary school & middle school, it's a recipe for disaster. As for that last story, man I had a haunted house as a kid. It was an interesting experience for sure, isolated to the attic. To tie it back to sleepovers, my friend in middle school from two houses down was where I'd do a lot of my sleepovers as a kid, always a good time. That was a sweet gig, his parents spoiled their kids. They had waterbeds, a trampoline, ridiculous stereos, all the video games, you name it. Besides the point, tying back into the haunted stuff, that kid definitely also experienced the hauntings on a few occasions when we hung out in my finished attic, since he came over quite often too. I had basically a lounge/game room up there, it was pretty awesome except for when I had the shit scared out of me randomly. On one occasion it seemed like whatever entity was trying to physically hurt me, that one freaked me out a bit more than normal.

Sounds like a pretty normal kid's room to me based on my childhood experience, maybe the OP was in a less well-off home situation where they didn't have many toys, etc.? It also seems like the other kid's a spoiled brat that clearly has issues, I'd like to think they meant the kid had way more stuff than would be considered normal. I dunno, I try to infer things about the author based on the language they chose. And ain't nothing wrong with action figures and collectibles, even as a grown ass person.

Never had creepy sleepovers, just chronic nudity and perversion…I guess that would be creepy if it were adults. Every kid in my neighborhood was a pervert…
