These people that complain are the worse people you can meet. I suggest you do not bend over for them. Also never apologize to them. Be thankful they don't subscribe and leave. What I've noticed is these expats, complainers on your channel, Thai Visa forums, etc are flippin rude. Not all but many. Keep doing what you have been doing. They can all take the Pattaya flying club for all I care.

Peter, I use to be a professional wedding and event singer in my 20s. For every hundred positive comments I would get one negative one. I understand that those always seem to stick with you more because that is human nature and how our brains are wired. Our brains focus on detecting danger and disturbances in otherwise normal patterns so we can address them. However, I think when we know we are doing a good job, we need to pay equal homage to the good. I thoroughly enjoy your storytelling format. I play them when I'm sitting on the couch after a hard days work, when I'm in bed getting ready to sleep, or when I'm doing work on my computer in the background. I love the attention to detail. It reminds me of my love of travel, taking in the details and nuances of a unique environment. Its the journey, not the destination as they say. Keep up the good work.

I spent 10 years in Thailand and this guy is far to weak and gullible to be there. He was manipulated so easily. She controlled what they did and he was just a god dam Labrador. The craziness goes with them type and most wise people stay away. This first guy should go to Spain or anywhere else but Thailand. He is lucky he wasn't scammed or worse.

A few words of advice to the 22yo. Now that you have a safe distance, you can tell her that she scared you with the death gestures and questions, and your main reason for leaving is that she lied/withheld about being born a boy. It would save her (and could have saved you) a lot of heartache in the future if she would just be honest with people, other than that, you have moved on and have no ill feelings. Tip #2: Open your phone and delete the Tinder app.. You were looking for trouble and you found it, let's be honest.

Peter, that first story: pretty much my lived experience with a ladyboy (down in Ao Nang, 2015). I did know 'she' was a ladyboy and I had made a conscious decision to be with her. What I hadn't anticipated was her vile mood swings, the threat of physical violence from her, or just how ugly a drunk she could be (I don't drink alcohol). After just a couple of weeks with her, I was fairly sure I was running a strong risk of getting my throat slit in my sleep or having a smashed glass pushed in my face. Luckily, I managed to escape the situation before things escalated, but it was very clear which way things were inevitably heading. Like your contributor, I was stalked, verbally abused, and generally harassed by her for some time after I made good my exit. Soon after, however, I just cut off all communications. A decision I have never regretted. The people we meet on these exotic trips are almost always complete strangers. Think about how you would treat a stranger at home and then remember that as a foreigner abroad in an unfamiliar country you're even more exposed to the risks of 'stranger danger'. Common sense, people. I had a very lucky escape, of that I am certain. Lesson learned.

I think you are spot on with your response to that commenter Peter. People have taken the time to write in with their experiences and which very often can end up not showing them in a terribly favourable light (appearing naive or gullible etc.). The charm of the stories is their authenticity and obviously people vary with respect to their writing style or ability. Undertaking extensive editing of the stories would be very harmful to their enjoyment for many people and you simply cannot please all of the people all of the time. As for individuals who say that they don't want to hear stories from women, unfortunately that probably says more about them than they care to admit.
