That punch choke works even better if you open the lapel and punch inside the gi, covering your punching hand with the pulling side of the collar. It makes defending even harder.

I like that “punch choke” I always have a hard time escaping closed guard but having something like this in mind could help with just passing not necessarily submitting my opponent. I guess one question would be do the community feel this the “punch choke” takes no skill?

It will involve some skill but you have two options , I always attcak choke first. Keep drilling it will get it . Thanks.

about the second submission (the wrist lock), would it work too if you bend his hand to the opposite direction?

Oh yes it will. I like grabbing the palm at hitch hiker and doing it. This is also how i grabbed from my old Japanese Jiu-Jitsu days. Also when going for regular arm bar it helps lines up the arm for the submission . Enjoy!
