Brilliant. I have a couple beautiful lamps on my nightstands I received as a Christmas present and can’t reach them from my bed. I really didn’t want to replace them because I need a touch lamp. That is awesome from scratch!....I have one that is a manufactured one now for 2 years, worked fine and all, 3 way touch...but now, it won't stay off for any length of time. So when I do dissect it, what might I be looking for first?

I would replace the entire sensor. Unfortunately, there's not much to repair. Maybe, the ground connection inside is loose?

I noticed that your lamp is painted. Does that matter, or do you need a bare metal spot for touch sensitivity?

Can I wire one to my wallet so when someone touches it it triggers a Z-Wave device that then sends an alert to my phone so I can tell when my wife or kids are taking money out of my wallet? ;)
