Just leaving a role, resigning tomorrow, I held for 9 years in management due to toxic culture, I thought I could work within and make a difference, it really made such a negative huge impact on my mental health. This is a brilliant reminder to restore me back to my true self. Thankyou so much for this content, hugely appreciated 💖

8:15 "We grow from lifting those heavy weights. These situations in your life that seem heavy? Understand that's life trying to grow you right now. So, understand it's a true gift and a blessing. It might not make sense to you right now, in terms of why you are in this moment, but maybe you decide to grow yourself even stronger as a result of enduring all of this and maybe six months down the line, you'll be saying, "Thank goodness! I truly decided to change myself as a result of that. Look who I've become in that process--I've become even more positive, I've become even more compassionate, and I'm now truly able to lead my life even more, because I've used every single moment that I've had with difficult people as a moment I can actually begin to take control of my psychology even more." ...That's what I wish for you."

I think it can be dangerous to categorize other people as "toxic" because all of us are capable of evil. However, what I believe defines toxic people is the people who do not reflect on how they themselves are evil and hence easily judge others and consider them to be inferior. Those people do not see themselves as toxic but rather keep blaming others, and that is what defines toxicity

Nope don’t agree, I’m a mild mannered nice natured person and I find it interesting objectively observing how aggressive ppl react or get triggered by me being submissive. What u said is not true, if that was the case u are saying a caring beautiful nurse is on the same wavelength as hitler /someone evil. There are Bad evil ppl. Individuals are not as grey and mix of evil and benevolence as u are making out.

Hi Tim. Thank you for the gems you’re sharing. If I may I would like to follow up with the green hair analogy. What if you do have green hair and toxic people are poking fun at you because of it? In life, it is observed that toxic people actually do go for things/traits/etc that you and they know that you possess and they play with your insecurities. How do you respond to these situations? Looking forward to your insights!

This is amazing perspective and resonates with me. Thank you for sharing. The only thing is i struggle to sit quiet when someone is being abusive regarding a minority group. . A guy at work criticised a customer who was a effeminate man, criticising his clothes the way he talked, mamnersims etc. I just said as long as he is happy I dont see any problem and this sparked him off on a rant. I find it hard to keep quiet while listening to this growing right wing voice.

I am sure that toxic people will end up alone or unhappy.. I have someone in my life who is very busy with running away when he didn't treat me right. This person does not set healthy boundaries, is ignoring other people and sometimes only sees what others doing wrong and when he's arguing with someone, in his opinion they are the ones who need to be changed and who just aren't worth that he treats them as someone valuable. But one time he told me he is unhappy with the situation and sometimes he explains that he is projecting much from his childhood to other people. He often thinks others want to manipulate him and even his beloved sister doesn't want to have contact with him anymore. He also says is breaks his heart when he treats me bad. He even has heartache sometimes and he his ashamed about how he sometimes treats me and his family. He is living a lonely life, always watching if someone could come and do harm to him, and deep inside he thinks he's not worth being loved. I'm sorry for these people. We normally don't see them how they cry alone at night about how bad they treated the ones they love. But sometimes, they do. They have to take responsibility for their behavior and whether they decide to do it or to go on projecting their problems, that is none of our business. I have the opinion that it's always worth talking with them about it. But it's their business if they want to go on running away and ending up alone and unhappy, or if they want to change. We have to take responsibility for ourselves and accept the chance to grow if we want to create a fulfilling life for ourselves. And it hurts that I am starting to understand that I have to keep these people as far away from me as possible. I sometimes felt like I was getting chained up and getting medicine that is toxic and that is killing me slowly from that person. But it is up to me if I stay near this person so he can go on doing this, or if I get up and leave. Thank you for reading this if you read till here. I hope you are taking care of you and only settling with people, who are treating you the way you deserve it. In a honest, supporting and loving way. 🙏🏼

People can be annoying. Incompetent. Ridiculous. But as I told my own subscribers, you have to make an attempt not to hurt them. And usually that means even their feelings. You have to understand that many will have annoying traits that are not necessarily bullying traits but just what they are--annoying. And usually this type of behavior comes from their own internal unrest. As one of my Muay Thai coaches said: if a tiger attacks you in the jungle you must draw your knife and kill it. But if a little dog was nipping at your heels would you kick it to death? No, you move it gently out of the way. And that is the effort you have to make with people. Not everyone is strong, most aren't warriors. They aren't confident therefore have to be dealt with gently like the above analogy. And if you do that daily, you will find that it reflects back and gives you only more tranquility. Hope this helps someone out there---Charles

What you say sounds very good, but sometimes we meet people in life that we absolutely hate. And many times it has been because they have challenged us to look closer and deeper at ourselves. Few people want to be friends with a person who is brutally honest and always says as it is and who always proves to be right and has the ability to do what is morally correct .. God so hard to have such people as friends. You can never get away with anything😂😂 For people usually say that how others treat us is a mirror of how they perceive us. They are this mirror, an answer to how good we are at dealing with other people. As with everything else, there are of course a balance between self-respect and self-criticism. But I understand your point and if you just look from your perspective, it sounds logical and a good solution👍👍👍
