Very helpful Meredith thank you for sharing. I’ve often wondered whether it would be worth purchasing a fringer but I think you’re right, just taking the time to fringe by hand is probably the best, you can’t go wrong with a really good pair of scissors and a bit of patience! I love the way you used the two coloured paper strips layered on top of each other, really nice. And yes please it would be lovely if you could show us how you made the little buds, they are gorgeous! Thank you again. 😘❤️

As a beginning who can cut through the whole paper, I like the idea of using a paper clip as a stopper

It can take longer to have to keep moving the clip, but it really can help 🙂

Can you do me a favor and exit stage left out of my mind?🤣😂😝😜I am literally working on fringing today and was ONLY THINKING about checking out on techniques/products today and your video just popped up, on its own, without me searching!!! 🤯😱🤭Totally agree with your findings on the fringe scissor. I use mine and it’s extremely harsh on the paper and to get either even smaller slits I’ll go over in between for a second time. I always wind up with unintentionally cut tiny strips that I need to glue together. I was excited to see the plastic paper fringer. I’ve seen metal ones online and read horrible reviews about them and this model appears to be the same. I’m really liking the three color fringe mum that you show at the end and will be working on one of those today. Thanks so much! 🙋🏼♀️😘🥰🙌❤️👍😍🤗

I don’t use any sealant but whenever anyone has a question about that I always send them to Honey’s Quilling. They’ve done tons of research on sealing quilling and have a lot of info on their site 👉 www.honeysquilling.com

Just FYI, the metal paper fringer from Lake City Crafts is self-feeding. The lever that cuts the paper also activates a small 'finger' that comes down and pushes the paper forward. It's in the 30 dollar price range, so it would be something to budget for.
@ThePaperyCraftery2 жыл бұрын
I'm familiar with that design and I really think mine is supposed to be self-feeding too, so maybe its user error 🤷♀️
