Just a minor clarification. These are not SANS certifications. They’re GIAC certifications. SANS is a training organization that offers training for the GIAC certs. They’re sister companies, but these are not SANS certifications.

Thanks for the videos. If I may ask, is there any other site you are aware that I can cybersecurity Certificate as a beginner for a very cheaper rate. I tried out comp TIA security+ as you said however its still very much expensive for me. I'm still a student with no source of income and the dollar rate in my country is extremely high. Its serious difficult for me to pay $326 for security + training not to talk of the GCFA or GCIH.

Not at the moment, but in my next video (coming in the next few days), I go over some cheaper alternatives. it’s still an investment. There are free university courses called MOOCS where you can learn for free, you need to Google that as I havent used that in a long time

Hi. I have a bachelors degree in Business and want to transition to cybersecurity and have a ISC2 CC certificate. I have applied for SANS bachelors, however they are advising to take undergraduate certificate in Cybersecurity for getting a job. Does their under certificate program with 4 GIAC cert including help me get my first job in IT? What would be your advise?

Its better to do their bachelors pgm or masters pgm...because they have included many GIAC certs within it and it is much better than taking individual certs.

my problem with their degree program is the price tag. You could pay the same money and get a degree from the best universities in the world like Carnegie Melon for example

So these two certifications (GCFA and GCFE) are the hallmark that allows you to work on crime scenes, computer forensics, etc? As mentioned, I'm in school for a four year in CS, but these are the most expensive certs I've ever seen lol and if you fail the test I assume you pay full price to take it again?

Strong brand name recognition (they were first to the market), top notch instructors, material is condensed in a great way. There are good alternatives now that are cheaper, but SANS is still great
