I'm a complete beginner to cooking and I didn't want to try because I saw everything as complex. Seeing how easy you made this look I gave it a try today and it turned out great, it also really gave me some confidence with actually trying to cook and makes me want to try more things. I make these for my mom and I only I learned to do it with 3 eggs and 2 full slices of bread, which tends to be too much food for us, so we cut it in half. This technique seems to be very popular in many Oriental countries. I saw one fairly recently that used some kind of cream cheese, plus regular cheese, and then at the end, spoon some strawberry jam down & over the cheese in the middle. I couldn’t fathom what it would taste like, but the channel has this pre-recorded phony “mmmm” at the end of every video so it’s kind of hard to get an accurate opinion abt that.

@@jegnur That's the only thing I miss here; some approximate time indication; I take it that you keep the sandwich on the low heat for a while after you've closed it up, turning it a few times, in order to let the cheese melt. After the avocado one has been closed up especially, the edit seems to make a "time jump", and by the time the sandwich is placed on the plate, the cheese looks melted.

These are so lovely and look delicious! I would love to serve these to my family. One suggestion, though, I would definitely cook the ham in the pan for just a minute as well, a little browning will give you a deeper flavor. But, to each their own, I am sure many would love it as it is.
