I tried the 'coin squeeze' drill, but then I found out that I am too used to flicking my thumb so that without it the ball just goes left because the right hand was expecting the force from left thumb

I’ve been trying to figure out what finger release i should have. Both middle finger and split work but since I don’t know what to use my shot gets inconsistent. I usually load the ball by my right quad since I’m right handed. I have a straight shot line starts from quad up to my right eye etc. I’ve had a tough time with this for a while and i feel that my shot is not progressing because of it. What should I use?
