Loving your videos! As a recent convert from the TLP fields on live, I really appreciate having something to reference that is recent. I have an issue with my screen freezing especially when I am running around soloing. When I alt+entr P99 crashes and gives me a "reset failure" message. I hope these fixes resolve my problems. Either way, thanks!

@@pinetv3266 Update: I pretty sure the issue was the piece of hardware between the chair and the keyboard. I don't think I installed it correctly because I had the watermark enabled but it was not showing. I reinstalled it with the watermark enabled and it displayed while in game. So far no issues, thanks for the help!

With the new bat. when I try to run the short cut it tells me to delete wsock32.dll and eqgame.dll from the directory.

Hey Gamer41! I am not sure why it would be asking that. I’m currently out of town and don’t have my laptop to try some fixes. I will have it tomorrow though and I can play around with it. Also, do you have a P99 forum account? If you provide your name I can reach out to you directly there.

I have some insight here! I'm betting your folder/files are pretty old. There was a patch years ago that added these files to your directory and they used them to detect players that were using ShowEQ and other 3rd party programs. There was a huge suspension wave when they found a staggering number of the population was using them. These files were later removed (complaints/legality perhaps) and future builds would pop up this message if the files were not removed. It's safe to delete them.

quick question on dg voodoo.You switch your config folder to sony. Do you have to make sure it stays sony as you do the graphics card as well as the voodoo 3d card and the vram. so when you hit apply and ok its on your sony game set up?

I have had great success with these ways to stop crashing in P99. Thank you so much! However, I have been having lag spikes that make the game almost unplayable when I am raiding. Have you run into this issue, and if so, do you know of any solutions?

p99 does not allow to the installation of new character models, right?

After step three I get No 3d device found when i try to run P99 any idea why? Will not let me run P99 . Update: Think I may have found the problem P99 not recognizing my NVidia GeForce RTX Ti 3050 laptop GPU Can only use my integrated Graphics. any know of a way to fix that? Update2: So after going to NVidia control panel under 3D setting and changing EQ to only use Nvidia card and restarting my computer it fixed it!

Hey Bud, Hambown here .. I left you hanging today, I apologize ... I have been having a lot of problems with EQ crashing lately ..over and over so I figured I go to man that I know can help.... yep ! that's you. I never got to this video because I really haven't had much crashing problems like I have been. so I followed everything you did and now I will give it a try..... >>> update: It all worked well, on my toons that is but Hambown was still freezing up stuck in EC, so I copied the UI from one of my toons that was running well and pasted that UI to Hambown's UI in the EQ folder. came back to game with Hambown and no freezing yet. I have been using QQUI UI not Duxa's, I will try Duxa's again.

Hum doesn't step 2 nullify step 1 ? You modified the EQ shortcut to run as admin with compatibility mode in Step1 then created a new shortcut that will bypass it.

You’re not wrong. When I put the video together it was more an “a la carte” idea than a series of steps to follow in succession.
