I’ve been natural for a year and 3 months. I started from very short hair because I used to rock haircuts before I decided to start my natural hair journey and trust me when I say that though I’m a new natural, I don’t do heat. I once or twice attempted to blow dry my hair when I was braiding it but I stopped without finishing because I was feeling sorry for my hair even though I had used heat protectant.😂😂 So I completely avoided heat and just braided my hair, I got away with it because my hair was still waaaaay short. Now that I’ve got some length, I also prefer stretching my hair a day before I braid it and that was the best decision ever. I do my own hair ever since I began my natural hair journey so braiding it when it’s stretched is the easiest and less time consuming. Thank you for this video. I have been a subscriber for some months now but this is my first time replying. I just love how you showed people that our hair can still stretch without using heat and it’s actually faster than blow drying. I hardly see videos like this one because most people use heat protectant and blow dry their hair so I am extremely happy to see somebody who stretch their hair like me. I do the braiding/twisting methods and I don’t see myself using heat anytime soon. Lovely video. Thank you.❤️❤️

Thanks for commenting dear, and welcome to the channel, and you’re right stretching it a day before actually helps when it come to braiding, I sometimes leave mine a bit longer.

I have used most of these methods in the past. It stretches but once I get outside and the wind blows on it, it shrinks back in 20-25 mins.

Do you use products with a lot of glycerin? It could be the culprit of shrunken hair.

I started threading my hair two months ago for that stretched look and I like it. I cannot use blow dryer because I spritz my hair daily with aloe Vera juice or water so it would be a waste to heat stretch my hair.

Beautiful methods! I have tried them all and banding it was fun, but difficult. I loved the way it looked so I rocked it to the store and got compliments lol might have to do it again, great results on all methods by the way!💪🏽😇☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽

Trust me, you are not the only one who is obsessed with their hair. I am also like that. I just love how both my washday routine, my moisturizing routine and my hair products are working for me. My hair is still short but not too short. I am a new natural but I’m obsessed with it and how it listens to me.😂😂😂😂🙈🙈

The wool method looks the best

Is the thread wool? Would silk thread be better for hair? Do you apply any type of leave in conditioner or oil? I don't want to dry out my high porosity hair. It breaks easily and I can't retain length. Also, what is your hair's porosity? Thank you for help and great tips..
