good recommendations! i think a tan chinos look good if someone pulls it off correctly. anyway, since most of us already own dark blue/indigo jeans, i think chinos in navy can be skipped (as the colours are similar; i do ack the fabrics are not). but if jeans are light blue, dark blue and black, someone could try grey and olive chinos to get more versatility in terms of overall the colour options for his pants. cheers!

Steve McQueen would do do the chino pants / chukka boot combo frequently and it always looked sharp and classy. :) I would even say that if you use a lighter color of chukkas, maybe a light suede, you could pull them off in the summer time as well. What do you think, Ashley and Dorian?

Loved the content as always ! 😁 Could you do a video on “athletic builds”?? Finding well fitting chinos and jeans get a little hard when you have thick legs .. you can either fit your quads, or have them fit your waist lol I usually wear uniqlo or gap stretch fit chinos, but it’ll be great to see a video on this topic! (Also for uppers in general when you have like a 6-8 inch drop, though formals, smart casuals, fit like a charm with this body type)

It will fade. Rightly after 2 washes or so, just nice. Where are you from? Uniqlo used to have great fit. Not so anymore.

If you love them that much, dye a darker shade of maroon. It will fade closer to the original maroon after 1-2 wash. Problem with dark chinos is that they fade easily.

Hey- Just a shout out from us 50+ guys that have to tone down the hipster/skinny pants look so we don’t come across as try-hard mid-life-crisis types. Sometimes it’s hard to apply your styles to my age group. Maybe in the future you could do a few vids geared to the 50+ professional who wants to remain current, but for whom the hipster styles really don’t work...???

50+ guy cannot wear a hipster tailored suit to an executive meeting; nor can he wear skinny chinos to a causal work function. Just doesn’t work, I’ve seen some of my European colleagues try it and it was a horrible fail here in US. I’ve been fairly successful at taking AW’s color/trend advice and applying it with traditional fit and tailoring. It’s very difficult for me and some specific advice to my genera could be well received.

It all depends on your body type, not your age. Obviously if you're not comfortable in fitted (not slim) then that's a bigger problem. But clothing that fits your body type is universal. Been proving this to my 50+ clients for almost a decade.

DL : I do chinos all the time myself- RL Polo slim/straight. I’ve watched all of AW’s vids, but have to apply traditional tailoring/fit. I thought it might be helpful to see how AW would style a corporate/50 something in a conservative environment. Doesn’t look like I got any traction; so I’ll just sit down and shut up.
