I just got out of class and I wanted to come here to say I tried the cross grip move you demonstrated around the 8 minute mark and it worked beautifully against several class mates. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Blue belt here. Just joined a new academy with more upper belts and a fair share training partner of 1.8m + stature. The opposite grips (arm/pant) De La Riva hook sweep has been a huge influence on not getting smeshed.

<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="153">2:33</a> vs standing Collar sleeve collar drag to back
Have you watched the recent fights of sambo vs bjj in One championship? Bjj winning so far. Understand that different rulesets and most importantly the athlete's skill level will be the determining factor for the outcome between this to martial arts
@Bluis5445 Жыл бұрын
@@allanhenriquez4112 when it comes to actually fighting Sambo will always win. When it comes to laying on your back like a woman bjj will take the cake.
@allanhenriquez4112 Жыл бұрын
@@Bluis5445 I disagree there are a lot examples in mma , remember Fedor vs Werdum? Fedor was unstoppable and he was defeated by one of the most basic submission of course applied by a high level athlete, it will the skill level of the fighter what will make the difference in my opinion, but hey you can have yours
@MrEast900 Жыл бұрын
How is he going to show how to handle a bigger opponent using a small opponent ? Telling a smaller opponent to control both sleeves of a larger opponent is impractical. The bigger guy will easily remove both grips and smash. The whole video is about sports jiujitsu nothing to do with real life jiu jitsu. Bruno Malfacine has more realistic videos on how to control bigger guys as a small world champion himself.

Can you dispute the techniques? You got something better?
@jesselowe9374 Жыл бұрын
I use the technique at the 8 minute mark all the time with people who are bigger and stronger than me. Or, if they're pulling away, I use the right foot to sweep their left ankle. No click bait here, it def works.
