Dear Mr. Loughlin, Great stuff! I'm 77 now, and still play sessions in studios all over Europe, although nowadays not as much as I used to. Country is my real passion, but I've never had the time to focus on it, because my main job was a translator for the German government. AND I got married to a lovely German lass and 4 kids arrived quickly, which of course took up a lot of my time too, as you can imagine! 😊 All I want to tell you is that I find your country lessons really great! Please keep up the good work! I play with a trio and a quartet 5-6 times a month... and they're also country fans! They're going to LOVE what this old Scotsman has already learned from you!!! Thank you! I wish you everything that you wish for yourself. Best, Ron

This is a great lesson Jason! Triads and chord shapes completely changed how I play. I'm always discovering more of how different triads and chords relate to each other.

cool just hooked up with an ol' boy and band mate from 25 years ago. he's got a great vault load of raspy country / ballad songs. His motto is - "3 chords and a story' And I'm just using triads to embellish and color without getting in the way and making him feel like his losing his songs identity. Right on the money vid for me That tele of yours sounds so great and alive every time I watch your stuff! cheers Adam

I'm a beginner with probable Aural Aphasia. Playing musical is my biggest problem. But your channel is like putting training wheels on my fretboard, and you give me hope.

Hi from New Zealand, 'eyeopening' is an understatement, I knew a lot of the stuff you talk about here, stacked 3rd's and whatnot, but I never thought about them in a way that I shood'a known would work in a sense I could create proper music with them when soloing for instance. This stuff is gold, and I want to thank you for sharing it with us. GBY and all the best from NZ, kind regards, Bart.

Great lesson. Love the Major Triad fundamentals course. As an experienced player, I've found it to be an enriching experience. Easily great for a beginner/early intermediate too.

Hey Jason, You mentioned "enclosures" in soloing approaches. What is this? Looking forward to diving into your triads course.
@Morant6110 ай бұрын
Hi Devin! If I remember correctly, 'enclosures' are where one plays the note above and the note below before playing the target note. Or, one can play the note below and the note above before the target note. Thus, one is enclosing the target note. I hope this helps.

@@Morant61 Much appreciated.

@@Morant61 Correct, except it can actually be a number of notes on either "side" of the target notes.
