I like the way Doug does it. It looks like it will make less of a mess while eating it and I like the spam to rice ratio better.

I’m a fatty. So, I like my musubi with TWO slices of spam. The order goes like this: Rice, then spam, then rice and then spam on top. 😂.

I do mine like yours - spam on the bottom, rice, and wrapped the full length down. My favorite part is the nori so I would never want a thinner sheet!!!

I like the 2nd one but I'll just do SpamSiLog with nori sprinkles or seaweed soup cause I'm a messy eater. 😅

I put the nori on last. I put rice in the form, smush it...then put a line of Eel sauce, fried egg seasoned with fish sauce (I make it in my tamagoyaki pan so I can cut it into squares thst fit perfect on the rice) then put a line of siracha sauce, then Spam, then wrap it full length with the nori. I don't cook the Spam in any sauce, just pan sear it as is.

I like to wrap it as a strip so I can make more :). I also seen the spam cooked as is instead of pre marinating it. As it cooks, towards the end, the marinade is added & cooked down. I used to pre marinate. I like to add the egg & furikake & sometimes that sour vegetable ( dk what it's called)

I like to make a deluxe version xD I use the 3th wraping method. Just slightly bigger nori. But I add a fried egg and some lettuce in the whole thing. It is zooo good!!

Full width for structure and consistent taste. The band for looks, which is prob why stores use that one, also saves on nori.
