Hey everyone. I had the privilege of meeting Liz at one of her folk ensemble sessions in August at the Concord Community Music School where she teaches. If you live in the area or just passing through check out the school for upcoming adult folk, teen folk, lessons and more throughout the rest of the year. You will be amazed. Well done ... I agree with all you said. Scales and arpeggios have been part of my practice routine for years. I play a scale, say C scale on my viola, then a C arpeggio, then F (4th chord) arpeggio and a G7 (V 7nth) . If you are a fiddle player the same holds if you start on 3rd finger on the G string. For example C E G C G E C, then C F A C A F C (F or IV chord) and D G B D B G F D (G7 or V7).

Thank you for this tutorial. Just a comment : it would be nice you let us "fill the gap" with arpeggios on a basic tune you play.
