Sorry to hear about your car! That sucks... Great words of wisdom at the end though. I've been following 16-20 week structured plans and don't feel ready to take on 100 milers AT ALL lol! You got some balls! My main concern with not training longer (than 3-8 weeks) would be the risk of injury, but I guess it's a double edge sword as you can also risk injury over-training eh :P Good luck at Brazos Bend!!

@nifty404 you make an excellent point. I am curious what percentage of people who are undertrained get injured during the race. I have mostly paid for undertraining in the recovery process after the race. Week 2 is going much better. My friend Phil is following a training plan for outlaw 100. He is very disciplined when it comes to his workouts, but he is also retired, so he has a little more free time than I do. He is in incredible shape and has been crushing it at races, so they definitely work.

I was following the chasing Will series, did I miss a video for the Kansas Rails to Trails 100 miler? Did look up results and saw he completed the run, so congrats to him. Your new series will be interesting.

@kenknepper5226 sorry to leave you hanging. I didn't get a ton of footage at KRT because I was working the race until I went to pace him the next morning. I still should have thrown something together. I did give him all of the footage so he can take it to the production company to have a full-length documentary made.

Sorry to hear about your sinuses! Can you host a fat ass run on your property? 😂 love your Magikarp hat!

@calebharvey6372 I did a fun run last year, but it's less than a mile loop. I spend most of my time at Lake Liberty since it's 5 miles away and has much more trail to explore. One day, I'll own more acres and host a full-size race.

@ heck yeah! See you on the trails somewhere soon!
