Those trikes don't have a differential, so making turns takes some getting used to. I remember crashing through a garden fence the first time I rode one in 1990. Happy days

lol I love my 3 wheelers. My 1985 Honda 250sx is my main mudding machine even though I have a 2017 Yamaha kodiak 700 EPS SE. That thing is a blast because you can go anywhere that the big machines can go and when you get it stuck, you can just pull it out all by yourself.

I grew up riding those old Honda ATCs, I even had a few Yamaha's and a few old Kawasaki's. Had an old Suzuki 125 even. Man I still wish they made them. I gotta find me an old Big Red one of these days...awesome video Osta!

As a kid on the farm in the 80s, I only remember walking home once because the Big Red was too stuck for me to get out. Once we upgraded to 4 wheelers, we wouldn’t go out unless there was two of us. That pull and turn reverse shifter on the Big Red was terrible.

B it's push a button on brake handle and squeeze then shift down one. Basically a reverse lock out.

I loved my 200 Big Red when I was a kid. It would go anywhere my 4WD Foreman would go and it was so easy to get unstuck because it was so light.

its not so much having a cheaper rig makes it less fun, its just having the expensive machine for some of us make it more fun. back when i rode a 500 sportsman i had a blast, now that i have a big expensive side by side i still have a blast. would i go back to a small cheaper atv? not in a million years. but every one is diffrent.

I just got a 3 wheeler like 5 months ago off ebay. Its a Yamaha 225DX and its in really good condition. My dad used to have one just like it and he told me to put a suicide shifter on mine so I did and its so awesome.

Man oh man if they'd made tires that aggressive way back when I had one I'd thought I was King, but there was 2 choices for bad a:: tires one was the GoodYear Chevron RawHide and the other was the Woolly Booger which you could get in a lil bit larger tire

Do those ATC's have paddle axels on them? it appears that they must... I've had more than 10 honda atc's and they don't go through stuff like that normally. Paddle axel and float tires help a LOT!! I used to have a friggin SWEET 86 Honda 250 R with the power band. That thing was FAST!!!

I had i like new 1983 yamaha trimoto 200E shaft drive. Good old spydertracs on the back. Worked great. Jes rode a 1984 atc 125m with wooley boogers one the back. It also did really well. I miss my trike. Lots of times i wish i never bought my 1000xp sportsman and 400ho for jes. With all the repairs big bore 4 wheelers need i coulda ran brand new silver backs every ride cheaper then fixing my 1000xp all the time...

Well Erick , 200 was chain drive so there is room for so much by mods :) Plus real cool builds . You either are or are not a trike person.Man I love em. It must be ok to ride on powerlines in canada eh? Here in Michigan we do the same shit, but having eyes in the back of your head is a must. DNR don't mess around.Get caught and bye bye whatever you were driving and hello massive fine to go along with it. Honestly you get in LESS trouble for a Drunk Driving then out mudding on powerlines. The system is so messes up.

Most cut lines and power line right of ways are on crown land (public land) no one owns it privately. The provincial/federal government is who it belongs too. Since you are a resident of Canada, you have are free to use it.

Trikes were never out lawed in canada. They just stopped making them so we all got quads. I had my trimoto 200e plated and insured from 1983 till fall 2016 when i sold it. 45 bucks a year full coverage policy for 2015 season.

@@nopenada7195 I've got a atc200e lifted 6 inches on 30 outlaws with a 65 to rear sprocket . Finished the build 5 months ago and its yet to get stuck out of a dozen or so rides in very deep water and mud . Follows highlifters and can ams everywhere no problem.

Wondering what you guys think of the polaris highlifter 850 compared to the xmr 850 looking to get either one just wondering if its worth spending the extra money on the xmr or just go with the highlifter thanks!

Josh Welsh highlifter is more reliable and has lower gearing which will save your belt and other parts such as drive shafts. I’ve seen xmrs blow drive shaft really often, and belts even more buy the highlifter if you want a slow speed mudding quad that won’t break, get a canam for fast speed and breaking parts.btw the highlifter is good stock with the canam you’ll have to buy an after market diff and drive shaft also you’ll need a maverick belt and a lift to even keep it running and you’ll need a lift to to get the clearance of the highlifter.

Imo the 850 xmr will outperform the hl 850 in every category. The Highlifter is much cheaper as it is missing a few things stock. No winch even. It is a solid rig. But everyone will have a different opinion

Just seized the engine in mine today. After running on no oil. Just poured some mystery oil in the spark plug hole and turned it a handful of times. Fired right back up. CANT KILL A THREE WHEELER
