ardmore is the absolute cutest neighborhood. I've lived in 4 other areas of town, including beuna vista, and it's hands down my favorite. we are a family of 5 in a 3b2b rental for about $1.2k a month. it's a really good price for the area and all the family friendly "security" it has (just lots of pedestrians compared to any other neighborhood I've seen in town). btw the Reynolds building preceeded the empire state building... it came first. but omg the interior of that building is incredibly unique. it's gorgeous.

Thanks for checking out the channel. You're getting a great rental rate for Ardmore and I know so many of the people who live there just love it! I've heard the staff at the Empire State building used to sends a Father's Day card to the Reynolds Building as a thanks for the inspiration. Not sure if it's true but a fun talking point 😅

Disagree. Ardmore is overpriced, underdone, too much traffic and way too noisy. Northside is where its at. Stanleyville, Rural Hall, Pfafftown even Lewisville as Overpriced as Lewisville is. North of WFU around Reynolda towards Oldtown. West Side Lewisville Clemmons and Pafftown that way is also recommended. I honestly wouldn't live downtown unless I was employed there or a WFU medical student.

@@2014Challenger I've lived in north side too. The house before this, I was near Reynolda/shattalon/bethabara swamp. Then prior to that I lived near Patterson and Akron. I just prefer how walkable and family friendly it is. There are 3 playgrounds in walking distance and with three young children it's a nice amenity to have nearby. But I can see why others would prefer to live outside of town but honestly the traffic doesn't bother me that much, has its moments but it really isn't that bad as long as you don't drive near the hospital during shift change. But still, I think there are a lot of beautiful homes and gardens here that really uplift the area.

Brookberry has the most expensive homes in the city...Pfafftown is nice too.

You're correct! Pfafftown has really started to grow and Brookberry is very often over $1 million these days. They are opening a new section with cottages soon.

Traffic is usually pretty easy so living outside the city is usually a fairly quick commute. Enjoy your trip!

Those are great areas as well! I chose to highlight these areas because there are more residential properties to choose from. However, we'll cover some more of downtown and Old Salem in future videos!

I think Winston has made a lot of positive strides. There has been an uptick of crime around the country the last few years. I know I'm biased but I feel comfortable in most areas of the city.

That’s bc of race discrimination, job discrimination, and nothing to do in the city are major factors. This is not taking from the fact that the disparaged citizens needs to take the neighborhoods back since the city doesn’t care
