Special thanks to our Patrons for their support of the channel! RX plug-in or X5 plug-in?

We cross shopped the X5 and went with the RX and love it. We’ve had it for a month and I don’t think we will buy gasoline again. It’s quiet, comfortable, luxurious, and we expect it to be far more reliable than the BMW.

I really like this generation of RX and it is a great vehicle, one of my relatives recently got this plug in hybrid. One of the quirks I noticed is the passenger seat controls from the rear is only on the 450h+. Other turbo and hybrid variants luxury trims do not get that feature. Same thing with the front knee warmers. I guess that is because 450h+ is made in Japan. One of the reasons why I would choose this powertrain over others. That also explains its hefty price though. On another note I am late to making my comment since Naveen already showed up to show his love for Toyota/Lexus lol.

You may as well get a rav4 prime. It’s literally the same thing only a tad smaller

yup I am very well aware it is pretty much similar to RAV4 Prime(of course NX450h+ also) underneath and exact same drivetrain. I like the RX but Lexus could have offered a lot more for the price. It barely drives better than a RAV4 and you don’t lose many features on a RAV4.

Where is spare tire stored

I drove both, the 2024 BMW X5 has way more noise in the cabin from the front wheels. It's ridiculous, and noise to the cabin from the both front and back wheels of the 2024 lexus fsport 450hx is nothing, quiet actually, compared.

Sorry, my code expired between when this was shot and when it went live, the link is in some older videos and maybe it'll work but possibly not - sorry for the inconvenience

3 electric motors and it can barely push 300hp! 😂 x5 all day. Lexus Rx is a weird segment of cars. It has the downsides of an suv without any of the benefits. Less cargo space, less power, less range, worse handling, less passenger space. I’d never get this. X5 is the sweet spot of suv’s

Unfortunately, the market disagrees with you, so you are wrong on the money

@@naveenthemachineYou are missing the point that people vote with their wallet on what matters to them practically - like reliability and low cost of ownership, mpg/EV running cost/efficiency and low cost and trouble of repairs - not for 300 vs 500 HP that has no practical, real life value. “How it works” is how the market votes with their wallet, not fringe actors who car about HP on some spec sheet

I wondered if it would be possible to move one of the electronic boxes underneath in the trunk to allow for either an inflatable or donut tire to be placed there.. Could any of their mechanics move the electronic box to allow a spare tire to be put in if I bought a vehicle?I drive cross country with my husband across Arizona , Texas and New Mexico and there are miles where there are no close cities.I believe Lexus should stay with its core mission of reliability and practicality. I do not need a fancy electronic door handle (where you are locked out if electrical or battery system goes out) or infotainment system where I have to go through 2-3 windows to click on air condition system or fan. I just want simple buttons to get what I need without taking my eyes off the road to look at a screen. The inflatable spare tire that Audi has is innovative and practical. Is lexus planning to ever put in a donut spare tire or smaller tire.
