Sis! The journey was worth it! How many locs do you have? Your scalp looks so full and locs very thick :-)
@MireilleLiong6 жыл бұрын
Thank you. My hair wasn't always as full. When I started my full fro turned to scalpy braids but I was fine with it. I have never counted them and I got this request before but still never got to it. Stay tuned.

Will do my best and I will let you in on a secret about the loc pattern. You are wondering if you still see the braid pattern, right?

Mireille Liong Did you blow out your hair before you braided it?
@MireilleLiong7 жыл бұрын
No, I did not. I washed, conditioned, then braided it. See going-natural.com/black-hairstyles/natural-hair-blogs/dreadlock-styles

I want to start my braidlocs myself. But i have heard from locticians that braidlocs dont loc evenly and end up being flat locs, which can be expsesive to repair ( from what they say). I think they are just no wanting to miss out on money from people starting their locs on their own. but why spread misinformation to discourage people from locs period. I want to ask did your locs LOC evenly? are they like normal locs( cant really tell from the dark vid, plus they were stretched from the braidout? anyone can answer. thanks!
@MireilleLiong7 жыл бұрын
Braidlocs lock like all other locs. What is different is that you can still see the braid pattern but that's it. If you make flat braids, the locs may end up flat but why would you do that. I just had regular braids and you can read all about them here: going-natural.com/natural-hairstyles/blogs/going-locs
@bluelady31367 жыл бұрын
thank you. SO how long does it take before the braid pattern disappears? Ive heard from 3 months, 1 yrs, to never. just trying to get all the info I can before i install.
@MireilleLiong7 жыл бұрын
It took 1 and a half year for me. What made the pattern disappear is the Loc Glove: going-natural.com/going-natural-s-loc-glove

Mireille Liong ....Hello . And your BL's are Very Lovely.So What Is the Lock Glove? I'm thinking about getting mine done soon.
@bluelady31367 жыл бұрын
Christina Patterson it looks like a garden glove. Not sure how it helps, it doesn't really give explanations on how it works or what it helps on the site.

Gorgeous hair I will be starting braid loc soon do you have a video on your braid pattern and how long did it take for your hair to loc
@MireilleLiong6 жыл бұрын
Nice. Not a complete video but partly. It took about 9 months to loc but longer than a year before the braid pattern was gone. The glove helped me to that. You can read about it at: going-natural.com/braidlocs

will braidloc method work on straight hair?
@MireilleLiong7 жыл бұрын
You mean straightened hair or naturally straight hair? It won't work on naturally straight hair. It will work on relaxed hair but you need at least 3 inches of new growth.
@Goat49645 жыл бұрын
KamiCB i have straight wavey hair especially in the back. And did braid locks all around the nap and edges and they are awesome and only 3 weeks old and my hair grows fast so I’ve hade to to one round on 2 point rotation already.

what is your retightening method
@MireilleLiong8 жыл бұрын
Interlocking. 3 rotation.
@jennifer_loves_87668 жыл бұрын
+Mireille Liong ...ok thanks. Thats what i used too.Your locks are beautiful. .. I asked your method because I have heard that interlocking thins the locs. Do you experience any thinning?
@MireilleLiong8 жыл бұрын
No, I don't and I know for a fact that interlocking doesn't thin locks. Twisting does. You can see that with traditional locks: they get thinner over the years. What will absolutely thin out your hair and cause baldness is if you interlock the hair too tight. That is why you need someone with experience who knows what he/she is doing.

P. R, Charles has the longest interlock locs I have ever seen. Her locs are healthy. Check her out to.
