I combined my Sisterlocks after 2 yrs by braiding them and I now have small/medium sized locs which I maintain by palm rolling loosely only every 4-6 weeks. They are not micro locs. The braid pattern is almost gone and they look like regular locs and only 4 months after combining them. I am absolutely in love with them and wish I had started my lock journey with braids. Your locs are beautiful! Thank you so much for all you have done to educate us about our wonderful kinky hair! Your book was like a bible to me. Thank you so much!

great info.. I finally decided to do my hair in the micro braids.. or braidlocs.. I love the permanency of locs and I love the look of my braids.. so I decided to braid my hair, and to keep the curls on the end, I moisturize my hair daily, this discourages locking ,, but will interlock the new growth at the root, like you do yours.. I just started 2 days ago.. cannot wait to see how this goes.

braidlocks can be twisted mines get retwisted...mines were started out as medium sized boxed braids den jus gottem retwisted every now & again months in between...you gotta let new growth come in but mines does real thick at the roots probally because of double growth wit it being braided & dreaded...some of my ends are also still curly but i feel it make my lockx stand out...are u panamanian?
