This was hard to watch. She's extremely traumatized. She obviously has trichophobia, so she shouldn't be subjected too this. With it being this serious, either let her keep it long, or keep it permanently shaved before it gets long to where she sees loose strands. It's scientifically proven that shaving hair does not cause it to grow back thicker. It will get thicker naturally with age.

Even though it might help for the parents it won’t for poor Mia. The fact the mom is laughing when Mia said I don’t want hair like daddy is just really really upsetting. That is a fallacy. The thickness of the hair shaft is determined by general health, nutrition and genetics alone. The length of the hair has nothing to do with it.
