Lovely yellow blooms...such a cheerful color. This video and your previous video are an awesome labor of love on the growth of the Acacia Baileyana. So amazing to see the 2 wonderful detailed videos of this lovely tree grown from a tiny seed.

Hi Tom, Acacia baileyana also known as Cootamundra wattle. It’s indigenous to a small region in New South Wales, Australia. However it is widely spread in many places and has become a pest for some regions! Birds will spread the seed widely… so be aware! Their life span is between 9-15 years. The colour is glorious during July and August (ie winter here) Good luck with your tree! Keeping it trimmed will to imitate kangaroos eating the foliage, and will keep it from getting too woody too fast. Makes great firewood, (burning very hot) at the end of its life 😎 Enjoy.

It is great to hear from the source of the tree. Your tip on pruning it to keep it from becoming woody is much appreciated. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of this type of acacia. I really enjoy its winter blooms as well as it sweet smell of honey. Have a great day!

If you can't move it to where there is a window receiving the light you know to be important, I would consider doing a video search on indoor light for house plants.
