One of the things I have always admired about you is that you're always up-front; you put everything out there. I first found your channel about two years ago and I have loved following your progress. I wanted to come on here and thank you for this particular vlog. I am currently stuck on the 'how' aspect of going tiny. I do believe in the law of attraction, but somewhere in the last five years I lost my confidence. Thank you for the reminder that mindset is incredibly important.

I would imagine that you are just as genuine in person as you are in videos. It was because of you that I was inspired to make my own vegan coffee creamer and not rely on the grocery store to have it in stock. Your story is inspiring and your journey is great. How many subscribers you have or don't have doesn't matter. It's if you can reach that one person that needs to feel that they have someone they can relate to and they can gain knowledge and strength from your words to help them make changes in their life for the better. And that my friend is worth more than all the subscribers in the world. Because if you help one you may be helping many. Keep up the great work you are doing on yourself and your journey. I look forward to seeing where you are headed next. 💞

I purchased a condo in San Ramon, California in 2001. I also was a single mom of a teenager. I worked full time as a full charge bookkeeper. We had high HOA fees, I sold it it 2006, got married for the 3rd time (still married now). Months after I sold it, the HOA did a special assessment of $36,000😳. I ended up in arbitration, splitting the cost between me, my realtor, the new owners and their realtor. I had no idea this would happen. Nightmare, my upstairs neighbor was terrible…loud music, she flooded my place 3 times and her dog bit me. I would Never recommend a condo. Of course, I sobbed when I received the letter from the new owners, freaked out. I love your videos, so good know that your life is good. I enjoy your videos, even though, I live in a modest traditional home. I am a very optimistic person, even after being married to two bad men, my hubby now is a very decent guy. Although I am having a difficult time now, here in the USA, politics, Womens Rights being lost, the war in Ukraine. I hope the future for my granddaughters and niece becomes bright.

My tiny house journey in Australia is just about to begin Adelina. My #tinycow (Tiny Cabin On Wheels) is almost built to lock up stage and from there I'm picking up the tools and decking out her inside myself. I look forward to each and every one of your videos and Icannot wait to seeing where this new chapter takes you ... for I now know exactly where my new chapter is taking me. ~ Donna

Don't worry about the philosophical nature of todays show. This is certainly a time in history and each of our lives that we should be doing just that. Sometimes you need to look back (briefly) in order to see what got you to the place you are in at that very moment. Thankfulness and gratefulness are the fuels for moving forward. I believe the gift of life and the things that bring us joy are sometimes right in front of our face and sometimes we need to proceed a little further along to get where we want to be. Life is such a trip, isn't it? I wouldn't want to miss one second of it. Your insights and willingness to be open are wonderful gifts you are sharing with this community. You provide motivation to many; myself included. Heartfelt thanks A.

I've admired your tiny house and your journey to get there. I, too, have been on that mission to downsize so I'm not supporting housing for my "stuff". It seems like you hit an age and all of a sudden, these "things" no longer matter - the various handbags, coats, shoes, house decor, etc. Maybe for me it started when I began working at home 6 years ago and with long hours have no time to go out to socialize so my wardrobe needs are minimal. I'm enjoying ridding myself of these items, honestly. The kitchen items are much harder for me to downsize; however! I no longer have a car due to a minor accident and decided for now not to get a new/er one because I can get by without one and would rather put the money aside for my future than a depreciating item that will sit in the garage most the week and have squirrels eat the wires! I get to walk more places and interact with people taking the bus. I think my two biggest concerns with a tiny home are finding places to park it and should I get tired of it, the resale value. Am I putting money in to something that will hold little value? I haven't gone down the path of finding places to park one and have only explored the design ideas by watching videos on KZbin but I read every now and then how various places don't want them. I've seen a place where the builder has land people can put them on but after being in apartments, I really don't want someone so close to me. I need a little space! I'm about your age and all of a sudden dealing with a major health issue which is also concerning if you park in a more remote/off grid area. I'm fortunate that I live within walking distance to the hospital or a short bus or Uber ride. I was very healthy with no issues and then bam....cancer! So it makes you think more about where you live and access to care should you need it. I've lived in a small apartment and found it ideal really. It was a great location for me at the time. But I am thinking when I retire I might want to be in a small house but be in a "village" of sorts where I am connected to people and little outdoor upkeep. Right now I have no help as I journey thru my situation and don't have a community to maybe look in on me or provide minor assistance and no family. These are all things that come up as we get older. But I totally agree....I would NOT want to live in a condo and have someone else deciding when to make repairs. My friends always suggest condo living to me but I dated a guy once who lived in one and was on the board and saw those special assessments happen. Not for me! I would only want something I own and make all the decisions. I admire your courage to find the life that is meaningful to you and agree having it more intentional so much more rewarding! I'm working on getting there, too! I'm sick of renting and can't WAIT to have something of my own but can't figure out what that is and need to get thru probably the next year before embarking on change. I look forward to more of your videos!
@myBIGtinyhouselife2 жыл бұрын
Hello Dina! You're very brave handling all that on your own. We're often much stronger that we think we are before we face a challenge. Yes parking is always the big question but more and more tiny house villages are popping up and will continue to do so because this lifestyle is only getting more popular. Keep dreaming and you'll find what you're looking for. I'm sending my love your way for healing ❤️😊🙏🏼.

Oh Adelina. I loved this chat. Not “woo” at all-to me it was extremely down to earth & self-loving. I realize I’m definitely still in the scarcity mindset even though my spirituality is all about abundance-that there’s truly enough for each of us & for ourselves. But, damn but, I’m so ill, it’s very hard to see my life in abundance, without limitations-financial & otherwise-without obstacles. I’m so dependent on caregivers & helpers & yes the damn government, who in the USA gives you no incentives to better your financial situation if you need help the way I do. So, yes, I’m scared. And I’m so proud of you; am so grateful you’re in my life to the degree you are. I’m going to save this in a special place. So much wisdom here. I burst into tears at the end. Still have tears streaming down my face. Feeling sad but grateful too. Always grateful. But somehow feel like I did something wrong to have all this illness in my body. I’ll stop now. Should have written you privately so I don’t bring others down. Love to everyone else who’s struggling. Adelina is our Shero!!💙🫂🌀🕊

What I truly struggle with is visualizing a healed body & a financial situation that will allow me to fulfill my dreams. I’ll rewatch this vid many, many times. We leased a condo for over 4 years and experienced the fallout of the extra projects and increased HOA fees in the form of our rent being raised and the owner trying to get us to buy it from him because they were complaining about not making any money. We wanted to buy our own home but absolutely did not want to buy the condo for the reasons you stated plus we are in our 50s and and whatever we purchase has to be something we could pay off in 10 years. We checked into buying a house last year but there was no way we could afford that with the crazy housing market in the USA. So we moved last year at the end of October to an apartment that is in a building renovated that used to be a hotel many years ago. It is too expensive but the trade off is that it is a limited access and much more safe situation with 24 hour security. Our oldest son who is 30 is disabled and on the autism spectrum and lives with us, or I think we would seriously consider an RV or a tiny home to live in. I am not sure what our next steps will be but I do want to retire at 62 in less than 5 years due to health issues. I do try to be grateful in the midst of so much stress. I admire what you have done to realize your best life and the next phase of your journey sounds exciting!

You have achieved more than you know....and following your dreams is a good thing...your striving to the next destination...I say you have it mapped out well...I too are trying to focus on what it will be ...and not what it can...it's all about choice....and keeping your mind set stronger.. I wish you very much happiness on the next road..I cannot wait to see your new surroundings...it will be exciting... See you next week xx take care of yourself..oh and Sophie..xx Best regards from north west UK..

Beautiful story. Although not a tiny home…my home is my temple. There is no place I’d rather be. It’s pretty much the first time in my life I have complete say AND responsibility over what is done. Although I never would have changed the life I had before, the universe had other ideas and it has changed. And over time I’ve been able to embrace all of it. And yes things will always work out IF you bring the work and positive into it. Congratulations and good luck on your journey.

I truly enjoyed your talk. Since the pandemic and working from home, I seem to have lost direction and purpose. I enjoy my work, but miss the routine I had. You got me thinking of how I used to be. I also tend to worry about the "how".

The 'how' is the spot that really used to get me stuck. 😊

Hello, hey can I make a suggestion? You know I listen to you while hubby and I go down the road in the semi truck ….BUT 2 ways I listen 1- in my Apple pods OR with a speaker unit where we both can listen. Sound was all the way up with that external speaker. For future can you put the sound louder when uploading your videos, so us out here can control the sound. Hubby could not hear you so I put pods into my ear to listen. You know me , I’m not being bossy, just a helpful suggestion?

Absolutely Dianne. Thank you for the feedback and suggestion😊. And thank you for watching/listening.

Oh Valerie , I'm so, so sorry for your loss 🥺. We are never meant to out live our children. I hope that, one day at a time, one step at a time you will get somewhere better. I heard this and it really resonated with me: when we are in that valley and feeling stuck, focus on doing that next right thing. Some days that could just be getting out of bed. Or putting our socks on or making a meal. But by focusing on the next right thing, one day we're able to look up and see that we've actually come a long way and are somewhere better. I'm sending you my love ❤️🙏🏼.

Happy anniversary 🎉 This is my dream…however, not my husband’s dream. I’m in Southern Ontario and he’s worried about being “trapped “ in a small space. Lol. I’m 100% with that thought.

Hi. Weird question…do the wheels on the tiny house ever go flat or require any kind of maintenance?
@myBIGtinyhouselife2 жыл бұрын
They're actually off and tucked under the trailer protected right now. I'm told that leaving the weight on them takes it's toll. And keeping them out of the sunlight/elements is important too.

Just a question. how do you go about having internet in your tiny house? also, do you have tv reception or cable tv or anything like that? :)
@myBIGtinyhouselife2 жыл бұрын
In the city I'm able to get it from the local internet company. I haven't had cable in well over 10 years and haven't missed it. I watch KZbin and Netflix.

You said something like, talking to the camera. Is like talking to a friend. At least some of us, like this kind of talk. Also keep in mind, that some people, need to have a negative attitude. One because, they are not happy. Or they are afraid you will leave and be successful in what ever you do. Like a boyfriend or husband. Not your ex husband did. I learned that I can't do everything the way I want. I had to learn, it will get done when I can do it. Put things in order of what has to be done. I had an old boss, she is not old. Who had to have everything go through her. That is not a problem but you can't do everything. You have to decide what is important and give some jobs to other people. I am really religious but remember the serinity pray. When things get tough. Also have a good week 😊😊.

I hear you girlfriend. I don’t ever want to live in another strata. My first condo I had a leaky 1 bedroom condo and my special assessment was $86,000. We had to get another loan/mortgage to pay it. A few owners we’re foreclosed on. We had a Home Protection Office which does exist anymore and needed to qualify for a government loan. They didn’t spend all our millions and I got $20,000 back that went to the home protection office, but I still had to pay $66,000 when I sold. I’m in another strata and I’m done with them. I want to buy a mobile on Vancouver Island when I sell.
