That is a lovely rifle sir. I had one in 1966. Factory sporterized (cheap) with two groove barrel. I burned a bunch of Lake City ammo through it. Appreciate your outtro brother.

Good stuff! Those would be fun plinkers. If you want to push them faster, I powder coat them and can get 2400 without any leading issues. Have heard of others going a little higher, but haven't seen the need.

to hit center at 100 yards i had to raise the rear sight 3 steps from where it hit at 25 yards.

I have had great luck with that mold in my 308 Winchester rifles. I powder coat em and gas check em however i size em to .310. I put em on top of H4895 and Mr Jones I completely agree with you on how KZbin treats the reloading community. This platform ran off Elvis Ammo and Johnnys reloading bench. As well as made all my other favorite channels and friends completely throttle back all their reloading and casting content. Makes me so dam upset

i have a 3040 that i have shot cast in for years.used unique.did not size bullets oversize does not matter in cast.used wheel weight metal.

@@esquad5406 Pre heat treated receiver or later? I actually watched a clip from the old Sgt. York movie tonight where he was issued his rifle and shoots it for the first time. As a gun geek, I noticed he was issued serial number 218102.

Not if you power coat em I push my cast to 2500 fps with ZERO leading issues at all whatsoever
